I like terminator movies except the one with the mother of dragons I agree one and two were the best Even rise of the machines and salvation had some originality However this new one was written by mike dantoni at half time
Terminator 2 is without competition my favorite movie of all time. I was spoiled as to how this movie kicks off, so even if it may be otherwise decent it's gonna be a hard pass from me.
It was enjoyable and the action was good, but it definitely hit all too familiar notes. You just cannot top 1 and 2. Honestly I wish they would've continued the Salvation trilogy. Or maybe we can get some future storylines in this new trilogy (if they continue it) cause the war scenes were among my favorite parts.
You've just described about 75% of Hollywood blockbusters at this point I'm glad this movie is on pace to lose millions.
Saw the movie in 4DX over the weekend at Edwards Marq*E. It was kinda fun and novel, but it's hard to eat Sour Punch straws when your seat is trying to throw you down the aisle. Could've used a seatbelt. Movie was... fine. If you like Terminator movies, you won't really be let down, considering you've probably seen at least three other "fine" examples.
For what it's worth, it's the most intimidating/scary Terminator out of any of the movies after T2. The action scenes in this movie are actually good. Plot is just weak and there is no tension
Saw it last weekend, action was pretty impressive, plot is like a mash up of 1 and 2. Hamilton was great in this, really enjoyed her being back in the franchise. Mackenzie Davis was surprisingly good, thought she was weird choice originally. Solid B- movie....probably the 3rd best of all the films....
I enjoyed it a lot and look forward to watching it again and again, as I have all but Genisys. Without spoiling the movie, I will admit to being a little bored, despite the on-screen action, right up until Linda Hamilton stepped in, and then I couldn't wait for Arnie to show up. The plot is familiar and predictable, but the storyline diverted just enough from the first two films to keep me interested, and in fact was pretty clever in its own right. Like T2, it left me a little teary eyed at the end. But I like this stuff... When I heard Mackenzie Davis would be playing a lead role I was quite skeptical, but she rocked in this movie, as did a much older and seasoned Linda Hamilton. Some of Arnold's dialogue was ridiculously bad (almost like he was ad-libbing), and although Diego Luna looked the part, and was at times very good, he wasn't nearly as menacing as Robert Patrick or Kristana Loken's characters (I blame the director for that, but I won't get into it). Overall, it's about what you would expect from a "third" installment in a legendary action/horror franchise, especially in this day and age: action which sometimes makes you want to roll your eyes, some CGI heavy scenes (great quality though, for the most part), and, yeah, familiarity. But if you enjoyed 1 & 2, I wholeheartedly recommend seeing it and seeing it on the big screen. It's not as good as the first two movies, but how could it be. I would give it an 8 out of 10. More please.
