Sounds like something Chuck, Kenny or Shaq (or all of the above) said opening night.

Lol we don’t play like the Warriors, James, CP3 & EG won’t out shoot Curry, Klay & Durant, they can produce as many points though.

We plan on beating them by playing exceptional defense ala Giants vs Pats Superbowl XLll. We need Luc healthy.

we don’t even play like the Warriors...they are 3rd in passes per game while we are 29th

we are 1st in isolation frequency while they are 23rd

they are dead last in PnR frequency while we are in the top 10

Well you can't beat them playing slow and trying to grind it out...the Grizzlies showed that.

The one game they lost in the playoffs, the Cavs erupted offensively, raining theres in a fast paced game.

To win, you have to keep up offensively with them and let your hustle and defense be the difference.

Jesus Christ, these writers annoy me. Why not just say "Nobody can beat the Warriors, crown them champs. Lets talk about the draft!"

honestly, the biggest issue I see whenever we face GS is that they kill us with all their cutting on offense...it seems like if they make more than 3 passes in the halfcourt we can’t defend them...then they always get wide open threes in transition against us

meanwhile we’re having to beat them in isolation and all of our threes are contested

they got so much more easy looks throughout the game

lack of communication on defense is what kills us

This is the 2nd most stupid media take in basketball, right behind "there's only one ball".

Rockets defense with Luc and some continuity was really good when they wanted to be.

Warriors took advantage of guys like Anderson, Black, Weber, and Green on off ball movement/switches.

Rockets are a much more dangerous team than what you saw last night.

    Yep.

Typically those issues are resolved once teams get significant playing time together.

Lots of new faces who do not understand what their teammates due in certain situations.

The laziness of NBA analysts, fans and sports writers is infuriating. Just because we shoot a lot of three's, everybody is like, "HURR DURR THEY'RE COPYING THE WARRIORS!" No, we're not copying the Warriors in ANYTHING. One team is has one of the highest passing rates in the league, and averages an incredibly high number of assists on their baskets. The other team basically leads the league in scoring efficiency out of the ISO. One team hardly ever sets the high PnR, and instead opts to swing the ball around in order to get the defense out of position. The other team sets a high pick on basically every single possession, and uses the defense's moment of hesitation to either swing the ball for an open 3, or hit the roller in the paint for an easy bucket. Nothing about those two approaches is the same, but if you ask the typical NBA fan/analyst, you'd think we're just trying to take their ideas.

The Warriors beat us in the one area we're weak in, the paint. They have so many skilled bigs in West, Pachulia, Green, Looney, Durant, etc, we can't just unload all the burden on Capela and Nene.

This is a championship team that added the MVP they spanked out of the playoffs.

And yet, 2 years later people are still acting like it's a surprise that they're hard to beat....?

After the game on Wednesday night, the post-game crew kept saying "the Warriors took care of business even without Durant." I mean, that was already a championship team without the snake.

Media gonna media. Thinking is hard.

Yes, but you say that like it's some Rockets specific kryptonite.

The team is broken. If this were a video game they would have been removed in beta testing because the team is too OP. They were a 73 win team, and should have been reigning 2x champion...and they added the second best player in the world as an insurance policy to remove any realistic chance of losing. They ran thorough the NBA playoffs last season like a powerhouse college team warming up for their real opponents.

We're not as good as the Warriors, not even close, and we're the second best team in the NBA when healthy. If we have a hot shooting series, and they have a cold one, we might have a chance, but a chance is about the most we can hope for.

That’s actually the truth but then they would be admitting their jobs are pointless. Thank Durant for that.
