So if we're the second-best team of all-time, does that mean that the "Who wins between these Warriors and the 1996 Bulls" question is decided in the Warriors favor? ;) After all, the Warriors beat us and we're ahead of the '96 Bulls in the historical hierarchy...

Last year's team annihilates the mid-90s Rockets.

This is great news for their legacy!

Justin Termine would poop all over the Rockets if he read this thread.

The idea that those players in the 1960s could "out-physical" the huge and toned athletes of today is hilarious. Russell would be great in any era, but he's hardly going to be physically crushing anyone. The rest of those Celtics would have no chance, either from a physical standpoint or a skills standpoint.

You're probably one of those people who thinks that Lombardi's Packers would crush the teams of the last couple decades if they were teleported forward in time, rather than getting completely run over by athletes superior to them in every way.

You could make this argument for the 93-94 Rockets easily. Superstar center with semi-superstar PG (Kenny Smith) and some incredible role players who always delivered when it mattered (Mad Max, Horry, Elie, Cassell, Bullard, Thorpe, Herrera). The current Rockets team isn't even close.

Lol. You guys must be teenagers. I guess we would played Clint or PJ on Dream. While Mad Max or Clyde would match up with Harden. Big shot Bob, Mario, and Cassel proved that they could actually make clutch shots when it mattered. This team can’t shoot under pressure. Mid 90’s Rockets had the most impressive playoff run in modern nba history, and won without making up lame ass excuses. Late in the game when Dream is destroying Clint or PJ or whomever who would these Rockets turn to in the clutch to match the Dream?

Mid 90’s Rockets are famous for having heart. This team displayed none of that.

Mid 90’s Rockets would sweep this current team, and maybe go to 5 games vs last year’s team.

I can’t even believe this is a discussion.

Well I guess he must have been a superstar because he definitely contributed more than CP3 has

How about some facts about what measurably happened on the court, instead of "who had the most heart"?

    Net Rating: 4.5 (1994) vs. 8.6 (2018)

The clutchness of 1994 team wouldn't be much of a factor when they're getting smoked.

I agree to a certain extent. Rockets have been loosing to the champ except for the year where we got beat by the spurs.
No team has taken the Warrior as far we did...
But boy this year's playoff is hella disappointment & it's becoming harder & harder to look away from the talks that our superstar disappears in the big moment.
Yes, harden had a good series & what not... ****ing takeover when the ****ing game counts.
We don't want to hear bs like why he doesn't know why he took one shot in the final quarter without KD on the floor or how we still managed to lose without KD for 48 mins.
We thought last year was our chance till CP3 got injured... We also thought it was our chance when KD got hurt... but our star players continue to disappear. CP3 finally decide to show up 1/6 games when we got eliminated...
With our sorry a** playoff performance, get ready to hear ppl talk about Harden for only showing up in the regular season when it doesn't count because I seriously don't know what to say to back Harden up anymore after this playoff failure.

Seems like we have another superstar tandem that falls into the ****ing what if category.

These are the kind of threads that people come up with when you lose year after year to the warriors...SMH

True, it's unfair to compare the 2018 juggernaut to a team playing in a league in which Charles Oakley and B.J. Armstrong are All Stars.

McGrady couldn't even reach one second round for all practical purposes.
