The real answer is all of them. Centers are dying in the NBA. They can't even stay on the court with all the switching and running and gunning. Drafting any big number 1 is just a waste of a pick.

Not like any of those guys will be Hakeem Olajuwon.

To be that young and have a back surgery, hip injury. Michael Porter Jr. is a risk long term.

Ayton's rebounding alone makes him a safe option
Bamba and Jackson have both shown the ability to stay in front of guards on the perimeter. Jackson is an elite 3 point and free throw shooter and Bamba might as well be Rudy Gobert with Clint Capela's athleticism.

And yet you would still take a guy with the potential to be Kevin Durant over all of them. This seems like a Oden vs KD discussion again.

Porter is far more of a Danilo Gallinari than he is a KD. Porter can't even come close to KD's length; a 7' wingspan for a guy listed at 6'10" screams "Blake Griffin" far more than it screams "Kevin Durant", whom has 5 inches on MPJ in that department.

Funny you should bring up Oden when talking about a player who too missed nearly his entire college season with an injury 19 year olds should NOT suffer from.

I think IF he remains healthy, Porter can be an athletic upgrade of a Gallo, 19-22 PPG on good efficiency, but limited by sub-par length and passing ability.

Porter Jr. is not the most competitive kid in the world, and at some point that has to scare you. The guy hasn't competed since high school, and he always uses an injury or the risk of injury as an excuse. Missouri gave his father a job to entice him there and he sat most of the year. Now he and his people are limiting access to his medical records to only a few teams. When he gets to the NBA against pros there won't be anymore excuses. The fact that he has so many stipulations before he's willing to compete should be a red flag.
