Haven't heard of him until just now but I'm certain he'll be a stud for us, and if not, it will be because Morey forced him to play Moreyball.

I have no idea why Duval went undrafted. Physical tools + passing skill are very good, also has defensive potential.

Man if he comes in with something to prove because of not being drafted it is Win Win for Morey and the team. Rockets are retooling for another run at the Chip and getting some young talent. H-Town Crazy! Go Rockets!

Morey, you son of a b%#@h, you've done it again. Looks like he is trying to get a competition going between these young guys and see who rises to the top. He seems to be focusing on 2 way players that seem to be really solid in transition which usually translates to the NBA MUCH BETTER than the college game. These are the types that get overlooked every year as they play better in an unstructured environment whereas college is too structured.

How do contracts work in this situation? He's going to play on the Rockets' summer league team, but other teams can still sign him, correct? Do the Rockets get any kind of first crack at signing him to a contract if he is really impressive in summer league? Or can any team sign him whenever? How does it work?

From watching the highlights, he looked to be super aggressive when he was in high school and AAU. He looked like the man out there taking over. But watching his highlights from Duke, he seemed very passive like he was being constrained. Maybe that's a result of Duke's system. If that is the case, he may have more of an opportunity to shine at this next level where he will be given more freedom to play his game and take advantage of his strengths.

If this is simply a "summer league invite" then any team can just sign him. It was not reported as a "training camp deal" or anything, so odds are the Rockets want to see how he does in summer league before deciding whether to commit one of their 20 training camp spots on him.

My guess is that he does NOT end up in Rockets training camp...but you never know.

Sign him to an actual contract, not this summer league BS! Other teams can steal him!

He’s terrible and won’t fit on our team. There’s a very good reason he’s fallen so far. Like the rest of our picks though

The complete absence of a jumper doomed his chances. Let's see what he can do in the summer league. There is no harm in having him here for that.
