The whole attack on the dossier was obviously a lame attempt at discrediting it.

You could tell that there was no legitimacy to the attacks towards the dossier due to the fact not a single conservative was willing to actually attacks the credibility and expertise of the actual investigstors in Fusion GPS and the immense experience of Steele.

Correct. It was easier for them to frame up a conspiracy theory about Obama and Hillary being in cahoots with the Russians and Steele to compromise Trump than it was to actually discredit the merits of the raw intelligence.

That tells you something about the strength of the raw intelligence. With folks like Devin Nunes able to get their hands on some of the CIA and NSA intelligence, you'd think it would be easy to discredit the intelligence if lets say (for example) Trump could be placed in a different location at the time of the Russian Hooker's entering his hotel.

Instead you have Trump's own bodyguard actually confirming that the Pee tape scenario was attempted by the Russians to be setup but he gave himself plausible deniability by saying he stepped away from guarding the room after a certain time.

Its this type of corroboration that really speaks to the strength of the intelligence that its not easy debunked by very simple methods of investigation. The Dossier itself was never supposed to prove Trump got pee'd on. Its to provide the intelligence that the Russians set Trump up that night in Moscow and he's potentially compromised because of it. Its the INVESTIGATION that follows up on that intelligence.

If its easier to concoct insane conspiracy theory that to actually discredit the intelligence, that tells you something.

Manafort almost has to roll at this point. He is looking at spending the rest of his life in prison unless he really trusts that Trump will pardon him.

Trump can pardon him for federal crimes but not state crimes. The New York AG will be happy to take up any loose ends.

Manafort is more frightened of polonium tea than he is of Mueller. That's a pretty powerful statement to make.

Manafort won't flip. He don't want a surprise Russian hot chai of polonium.

Rick Gates, Trump Campaign Aide, to Plead Guilty in Mueller Inquiry and Cooperate

WASHINGTON — A former top adviser to Donald J. Trump’s presidential campaign indicted by the special counsel was expected to plead guilty as soon as Friday afternoon, according to two people familiar with his plea agreement, a move that signals he is cooperating with the investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.

Will Manafort "die" for the boss or will he talk now?
