It's hard to be more of a joke than Gingrich. Does anyone take that guy seriously? I believe not even most Republicans take that clown seriously anymore.

Hmm, makes you wonder if Trump's tweets were in reaction to that news article saying he was under investigation and it was just more fake news due to inaccurate "multiple sauces". It would make sense because if Mueller took the investigation in that direction, it really would cause a conflict of interest and he really would have to recuse himself (as would Rosenstein) or be removed. Since neither of those things have happened, it's very possible that the investigation never went that direction to begin with.

Wow, Sekulow's interview on Fox News was a perfect illustration of the lack of honesty and/or incompetence of the people that Trump surrounds himself with. While attempting to deny that Trump was being investigated on the main Sunday news shows, Sekulow actually says Trump is being investigated not once, but twice:



In addition, he tries to float the excuse that Trump was not notified... which lawyers point out that Sekulow should know is not a requirement. And of course, Trump could simply ask if he was under investigation.



In fact, Sekulow proceeds to float a number of untruths throughout this interview: that after Trump told 35 million Rosenstein was leading a "witch hunt" against him: "He's never said Rosenstein did anything wrong."; After Trump told 35 million that Mueller was "bad and conflicted," Sekulow goes on TV and says, "He hasn't said anything about Mueller."; Sekulow told FNC he'd never discussed Mueller with Trump—which is an insanity, coming from his attorney, and *also* breaches privilege; Sekulow said Comey and Trump had attorney-client privilege (false) and Trump's tweet was 100% legal (false; it's Witness Tampering); Trump can't tell Sessions and Rosenstein to request Comey's removal and then have his attorney say, "Well—*they* requested his removal."; Trump can't tell us—via NBC—Rosenstein had nothing to do with his decision to fire Comey, then let Sekulow say the DAG was "part of it."

Organizational incompetence is a disease that starts at the top and spreads downward accordingly. Yet, Trump wonders why his administration has been struck by one blunder after another. How many firings or shakeups can Trump go through before reality becomes inescapable?

What the heck is Palmer Report?

 

You may know it better by its former name: The Face-Palmer Report.

 

Well, the article did link to a tweet from some random GOP hating guy who noted it was from a reliable source. You can't get much more legitimate than that.

Seriously, is this Palmer guy trying to be the left wing version of infowars?

 

Come on, dude. Don't post fringe blogs and expect to have them be taken seriously. Read them as fan fic if you'd like, but don't pass them off as legitimate news sources.

 

Honestly Newt is a dinosaur who is grasping to stay politically relevant, and I doubt that the Trump campaign really thought of him as a serious asset to involve in their campaign, much less involve in a plot with the Russians.

Its the business interested folks that I'm sure Mueller & co. are targeting first as in a quid pro quo type of scenario, you follow the money first, and the money tells you the story with nothing but the facts. If Russian Oligarchs (working on behalf of Putin) were engaging US persons, there was money involved, and that transaction isn't going to be entrusted by someone like Newt Gingrich. He could be like how Sessions was likely involved, in charge of coordinating the political messaging, but even in that case its unlikely they were dumb enough to incriminate themselves and get caught on insecure communications.

I think the links that will be the focus will be Kushner, and Mannafort. First thing Mueller needs to find though is where and how did the Oligarchs pay anyone in the Trump orbit? Then reverse engineer that or those transactions.

As soon as Gingrich's most recent wife (not the ex-wife he divorced while she was battling cancer, but wife #3) was promised the plum post of Ambassador to The Holy See, Gingrich has been babbling the pro-trump manifesto, this week's version, like a dog howling at a female in heat he can't reach. It's quite the pathetic display, folks. Newt the Fruit is contradicting himself shamelessly on a whole host of topics, gleefully singing the "trump tune" like a canary in a coal mine with laryngitis.
