He's only remembered for the catch, but he actually was pretty good receiver, not HOF, but definitely one of the best 49ers history.
Dang, just saw this. Sad news. Him and the catch were a big reason for me to have been a 49ers fan when bud adams up and left with our beloved Oilers. It was the catch, Jerry Rice and them being the biggest cowboys rival at the time. RIP
