There was something of a clash of styles brewing throughout the Rockets season, with members of the team — most notably Paul — having spirited discussions with Mike D’Antoni about the offense and pushing for more movement, league sources told The Athletic.

Harden and Paul had tense moments with one another throughout Game 6, culminating in a verbal back-and-forth postgame that went into the locker room, sources with knowledge of the situation told The Athletic. Sources said the verbal exchange between Harden and Paul was regarding the ball distribution throughout Game 6. By the time the remainder of the locker room was ready to talk, Paul and Harden had gone their separate ways, with Paul swiftly making his way to the postgame podium.

So hoping the thing Harden said needed to change this season coming was more ball movement and less ISO ball.

I could tell something wasn’t right between them and I agree with Paul the team was better when the ball moved and harden would come in and the leads would disappear

Don't tell me, Paul got his hand slapped away again.
    Hardheads are hard.

Well if Chris Paul wasn't such a turd in game 5 down the stretch we probably would have won. Harden barely touched the ball in that 4th quarter of game 5.

Somehow I do not thing this is the case since Paul was the one speaking to the coach about incorporating more ball movement into the offense. :(

Lol at CP3 being the Curry that turned the Rockets into the Warriors whenever Harden sat. Dude was equally guilty of the iso style he claims to despise and was even worse at it than Harden.

Harden didn't want the ball in the most crucial of moments. I don't care what the "It was the right play" people say.

    You must rememeber this:

Rockets gave up 32 points in the 4th. They shot 9/16 FG (56.3%) and 3/8 3PT (37.5%), 7 of their FG's were assisted, the most assists they had in a quarter that game. Harden touching the ball wasn't the issue, the Warriors had a very good offensive quarter, it wasn't one thing, but the later game turnovers, Paul's offensive foul on Green, Tucker stepping out of bounds did the Rockets in.

Clutchfans: Harden only plays iso ball, whenever he comes into the game, he blows the lead CP makes, CP3 should handle the ball in crucial situations because he doesn't do TO's

Also Clutchfans: Harden doesn't demand the ball enough that's why we lost

Harden passes the ball off then leaves the offense entirely. There is a reason CP3 does well (enough) when Harden is sitting - He has a full compliment of players when he is handling the ball. Harden just leaves old, dusty CP3 to fend for himself with trash spacing and 3 players to work with instead of 4. Harden provides nothing if he doesn't have the ball in winning time. So yeah, Harden should demand the ball if he isn't going to do anything else on offense.

Harden played weird the moment KD went out. Harden wasn't aggressive at all. He waited too late which I see a lot from him.

Very frustrating loss. Remember how upset we were? These guys felt worse. Arguments happen. These guys are buddies. Much ado...

Good. Harden needs a teammate with the standing, cred, and character to push back at him. I assume that's part of what Morey and D'Antoni hoped they were getting.
