Something like that might work when Anderson's contract is expiring, I think.

Two second round picks for Semi Ojeleye. Showed great defensive acumen in the playoffs, athletic, gets to the basketand can shoot the three with tremendous confidence. He's going to buried on the bench next season behind Hayward, Tatum, Brown and Morris. Not only could he could be our starting sf but would be an improvement imo

    How about this deal...

    ATL IN: Ryan Anderson/PF, HOU 1st 2019, HOU 2nd 2020
MIN IN: Kent Bazemore SG/SF, Eric Gordon, HOU 1st 2021 (Top 10 protected)
HOU IN: Jimmy Butler SG/SF, Gorgui Dieng C

We give up Albatross Anderson, 3 picks and take on Dieng's contract, but get Jimmy B in return and have a solid back-up center.

If we still sign Melo, this could be an incredible team.

    C - Capela
    PF - Tucker
    SF - Butler
    SG - Harden
    PG - Paul

    Bench
    PF/SF - Melo
    SF - Ennis
    SG - G. Green
    C - Dieng
    PG - MCW
    PF/C - Hartenstein
    SG/PG - Melton
    C - Nene
    2 from...
    SF - Edwards
    PG - Duval
    C - Qi

That looks like a roster that can compete with all comers, but also has some youth at the bottom to develop.

@aelliott @BimaThug @malakas Just curious if this was possible or if I was missing something.

Any insight is appreciated & welcomed.

Apparently, Jabari Parker & Bucks have unfollowed each other on social media (https://dawindycity.com/2018/07/11/chicago-bulls-jabari-parker-social/). (Indications are Bulls may be making a run since Parker played his HS ball in Chi-town, but....)

Could you do a trade with Bucks also involving Atlanta? Whereby Parker accepts QO and then....
    Atlanta: Matthew Dellavedova (MIL) + HOU 2020 2nd + MIL 2021 2nd + Tyler Zeller (MIL)
Essentially paying Hawks to take Dellavedova's contract.

    Milwaukee
: Ryan Anderson (HOU) + HOU 2019 1st + rights to Isiah Hartenstein (HOU)
Jabari is leaving, but get something rather than letting him walk for "nothing". Hartenstein could be PF of the future.

    Houston
: Jabari Parker (MIL) + Dewayne Dedmon (ATL)
Rockets pick up pieces to continue run at Ship. Also, team gets a tad younger. But would have an astronomical tax bill...

Anyway.... Jabari comes to Htown & promptly signs 4 years, $76M with team options in years 3 & 4. (Or could team wait until end of season?) I think I noticed Parker PER increased when he played more at SF.

Assuming Htown re-signs Capela (5 years, $90M with $10M in incentives)...

Uses part of MLE to sign Melton to 3 year deal....

Uses rest of MLE to sign Melo (if traded to Chicago & then bought out)....

    Roster would look something like:

    CP3 - MCW - Melton
    Beard - EGo - Htine's finest (GG)
Parker - The Menace - Johnson / Edwards / Clark
Melo - The Fryer / Friar - Qi
    Capela - Dedmon - Nene

    Htine ship!

Houston Out: Anderson, Second round pick

Houston in: Zach Randolph, Iman Shumpert

    Sacramento Out: Randolph, Shumpert

Sacramento in: Anderson and second round pick

Rockets can trade either contract easily, and Randolph would be a decent Vet off the bench when we play small ball.

Sacramento gets a pick and Anderson can spread the floor for Bagley to grow. They can absorb his co tract another year.

You guys keep proposing deals with Sacramento and none of the deals have Willie Cauley-Stein coming back to the Rockets.

    What's up with that?

    That's your Capela backup/replacement.

A couple of problems in your scenario.

If Parker signed the QO, then he can't be traded for 3 months or until Dec 15th whichever is later.

Parker would also have to approve the trade.

Since your scenario has Parker on a 1 year deal and Milwaukee would have his Bird rights at the end of the season, then Parkers Bird right would not transfer to Houston so you cant sign him to a deal like that.

    4 teams: ATL - HOU - SAC - OKC
    Atlanta
: Carmelo Anthony (OKC) + Willie Cauley-Stein (SAC) + OKC 2022 1st + OKC 2021 2nd + $3M cash from HOU + $5M cash from OKC not sure if more than 1 team can send cash in a trade transaction
By moving Dedmon & Bazemore, the Hawks can still help facilitate Melo transfer. Atlanta works out buyout with Melo for $14 - $20M. WCS is brought in to be part of their young core. Pick up a 1st & a 2nd for facilitating Melo transfer.

    Sacramento: Ryan Anderson (HOU) + HOU 2019 1st + HOU 2020 2nd + HOU 2021 2nd + rights to Llull & Gentille (HOU)
Did you know Ryan is from Sacramento??? LOL Anyway, by picking up the Sac-town native, the Kings also pick up a 1st and 2 2nds in the process. Although they give up on Cauley-Stein, they have several promising big men to replace him.

Oklahoma City: rights to Axel Herville (HOU)
Off load Melo's contract & avoid $100M in luxury tax spending.

Houston: Kent Bazemore (HOU) + Dewayne Dedmon (ATL)
Bazemore finally is in Htown. Baze is 3&D wing and allows better rotation with Ennis / Green / Melo / Tucker. Dedmon contributes minutes at 4 or 5 and can hit the 3. If Bazemore doesn't want to be in Htown, should be able to swap him for DeMarre Carroll plus 2021 1st to Nets later on.

    CP3 - MCW - Melton
    Beard - EGo - Green
Baze - Menace - Edwards / Iso Joe / etc.
Melo - Fryar Tuck - Qi
    CC - DD - Nene

    Htine ship ;)

Capela (S&T), Anderson, Nene, Onuaku, rights to Melton and Houston’s 2021 1st

    For

Koufos, Temple, Cauley-Stein and Justin Jackson

    Rockets
    (MCW waived with Temples acquisition)

    Paul / Temple
    Harden / Gordon
    Jackson / Ennis / Green
    Tucker / Anthony / Qi
    Cauley-Stein / Koufos / Hartenstein

    G-League: Edwards, Duval
2way: 2 of (House, Adel, Clark)

    Kings
    (Randolph bought out)

    Fox / Mason / Melton
    Hield / Shumpert
    Bogdanovic / Carter
    Bagley / Anderson
    Capela / Giles / Skal

Gets Houston under the luxury tax I believe which would be huge, adds good depth and 2 nice young pieces in WCS and Jackson. Good deal for Sac to.

Kings love Giles, doubt Capela moves the needle for them.

Make the Ryan Anderson to Sacramento work now.

    Out: Ryan Anderson/Nanu

    In: Ben McLemore/ ............Kuofos?Zach Randolph (35% (3P%)).....expiring contracts.

Easier to buy out McLemore during the season.

    Sacramento: Ryan Anderson (HOU) + HOU 2019 1st + HOU 2021 2nd + rights to Gentille (HOU)
Brooklyn: Deyonta Davis (SAC) + HOU 2020 2nd
Memphis: rights to Llull (HOU) + Chinanu Onuaku (HOU) + HOU 2022 2nd
Houston: JaMychal Green (MEM) + DeMarre Carroll (BRK)

Houston won't have a 2nd round pick for years, but you could always buy another one! ;)
You could also do the deal without including Memphis.... I just like the idea of JaMychal as a backup F
