I honestly can't knock him. Being up 3-1 on the Pistons was pretty impressive especially looking back at that Magic roster. Of course like always, he shouldn't have opened his mouth and spoke too soon, but still not that bad of a thing to lose to Detroit (year before Sheed) in 7 games with 21 year old Drew Gooden and 34 year old Darrell Armstrong as your best 2 teammates. Those Pistons still went to the ECF without Sheed who would push them over the top the next year.

By comparison LeBron with a slightly better roster(talent wise/but way better defensively as a team) needed 6 games to beat Detroit 3 or 4(?) years post championship without 3x DPOTY Ben Wallace and HOF coach Larry Brown. He also blew a 3-2 lead to the real Detroit the year before.

I think many of you forgot that T-Mac wasn't a very good 3 point shooter

    Code:

only once he came to Houston...in Orlando when he was at his peak he averaged 36% from deep

he was streaky, but could really catch fire...he had a game where he hit 8 threes in a half

Listen, I'm just trying to be objective. But I think KD is one of the best one one players ever, same with TMAC but I just dont think TMAC could beat KD. KD is just ....really unstoppable. Have a look at this.

    Lol. What is this thread?

One of the 2 players could shoot and make it past the first round. The other guy was Vince Carters cousin.

McGrady is ridiculously overrated to even put him in the same sentence as Durant.

In a straight up 3 point contest, I would definitely pick Harden and KD over T-mac

ESPN made this an actual topic on a show where Tmac is a host.
The show Tmac is on is their lowest tier basketball show so they had to create some topics that were not discussed on shows
by Stephen A Smith or Jalen Rose or Max Kellerman
    @Os Trigonum @Zboy

Tmac loves to talk about himself anyways so it made sense

This subject is a joke and seems like offseason fodder. KD is one of the best players -ever- and would probably make an all-time NBA 12-man team. T-Mac is a borderline HOF player.

This is so funny, KD's FG% is probably 10% higher than T-Mac. not even mention defense.

Meh, have to take KD...you know Tmac is going to crap his pants a few games in a series and people will talk about how he has no help, when all he had to do was have a good (not great) game to win.

KD is taller and has a better shot. Tmac was stronger and more athletic. When KD came into the league he said his favorite player was Tmac and the person he modeled his game after most.

In a one on one game in their prime, I think Tmac wins. But if KD was feeling it from outside, it would be tough for Mac.

This feels like one of those NatGeo shows, Bear vs. Crocodile.

Only one is a league MVP. Only one has won championships. Only one is an efficient scorer.

I still have nightmares about tmac being guarded by Fisher against Utah in the playoffs and he kept chucking(and missing) those long 2s. ****ing Fisher.

If tmac is 3 inches taller and can actually shoot, he'd be Kevin Durant.

The fact that this poll is as close as it is, I really question the collective IQ of this board.

Everyone here is completely missing the point.

Tmac is REALLY GOOD at talking about TMAC.
He can spend hours talking about hypothetical situations about himself.

KDs career ts% is 62%. His career ft% is 88%. Mcgradys career ts% is 52%. His career ft% is 75%.

Tmac took a lot of shots. He's not particularly good at it.
