Houston is 50% larger than Phoenix. We're equipped to support professional Galleria ice skating.

Next.... SA-Austin getting a pro team (whichever sport) and Texas is set.

Austin is getting an MLS team very soon, don't hold your breath after that.

Sports radio in Phoenix reporting an ownership change of the Coyotes is imminent.

And then there’s this tweet from a senior advisor to the mayor of Phoenix...

Being in a Hockey fan in HTown, I'd love it if Tilman got the Cahyotes and moved them here BUT

it's a travesty that Quebec City doesn't have a team

    AND

even worse that none in the state of Wisconsin. New arena in Milwaukee. Would seem like a great time and opportunity to relocate the Cahyotes or even the Hurricanes to Milwaukee (depending on an owner with deep pockets stepping up of course).

There's no way a Milwaukee team wouldn't do well with fans. Granted there are a lot of Blackhawks fans in Wisconsin but I'm sure a lot would love to not have to root for a Chicago team.

Doubtful Milwaukee has the financial structure for 3 pro teams. Metro population is smaller than San Antonio not including Austin.

SA-Austin is large enough and good enough for at least 2 of NBA/MLB/NFL........ MLS should be an easy throw-in.

Glad to hear from Houston hockey fans. NHL brings more excitement and notoriety to the city. Hope a squad is incoming !!

Dallas will be hosting .... not a team from Houston ;) ... in the Winter Classic.

The Nashville Predators have been selected as the visiting team in the 2020 Winter Classic.
As previously reported, the Winter Classic will be hosted by the Dallas Stars and take place at Cotton Bowl Stadium. It will be the first time either team has been in an outdoor game. There will also be a Stadium Series game on Feb. 15 with the Colorado Avalanche hosting the Los Angeles Kings at the United States Air Force Academy's Falcon Stadium.

Wisconsin isn't about just the Milwaukee area. Green Bay and Appleton is another 180,000 people just north. Madison is an hour and a half and another 255,000 people. The entire state of WI will support the team and they love hockey. There are plenty that would make the drive often enough that they wouldn't have to just rely on the Milwaukee area.

Those distances don't matter when you're talking about the NFL..where games are once a week on a Sunday, when most people aren't working. They matter a lot when you're talking about a game played at 7 pm on weeknights typically. I'm not suggesting Milwaukee can't support an NHL team...I would assume they probably can. But arena sports and MLB don't work well when counting on people to drive from over an hour away.
