The retro game scene is actually thriving. The top selling games even on modern systems have a retro feel: Octopath Traveler, Dead Souls, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, Shovel Knight, Hollow Knight. You can go on and on. Nobody cares about Xbox one titles and that's why the only games that are even valuable for that system are all just special editions. Of course, you are always going to have the xbox fanboys: "I can stream in 4k and you can't," the people that only play first person shooters games until their brain goes numb, but playing (for example) Yoshi's Island on the Super NT at 1080p beats any stupid Fortnite, any day of the week. In fact I play it at 780p myself. With scanlines! Hell, I would rather play Undertail on Steam than these stupid FPS games. Or play robotrek on the snes. FPS's are fun for a time, but they get old real quick.
These are stocking stuffers. People buy them to give out as presents. It's going to sell a ton. I predict they will be sold out.
that's really only the polygon based 3-d games, and even those don't look THAT bad if you're playing on a CRT set.
