that was past my time there. i moved to austin in 1995 and i think i only went to waterworld once after that.

when i was younger i was too scared to ride texas cyclone or greased lightning, but i could do XLR8. that was a good intro rollercoaster for aspiring thrill-seekers. i think it was the summer i was 11 years old that i heard in the air tonight and it inspired me to ride everything in the park. i even took the plunge off the edge that year and i owe it all to phil collins.

Sidelining. Isn't that what all 16 year olds do?

I did date a clown there.

He did a good job covering the Supremes as well as has a ton of 80s hits.

Marvel McFey was not a clown. He was a flamboyant magical gypsy.

I’m a big Phil Collins fan. He’s excellent with the sticks, but what I really like is his voice. His reminds me of Sting’s voice, for some reason. I’d love to see the two of them on stage, taking turns doing each other’s songs, singing and playing together. Preferably in a club in Austin. I can dream, can’t I?

This is ****ing wild. First time I've come to the hangouts in eons and it just so happened I've been on a Phil kick lately. Just got done listening to his audiobook Not Dead Yet. Big recommendation, he reads it himself and it's very entertaining. Hoping the upcoming Genesis tour comes to town eventually, the Europe dates so far are slated for April 2021 (though I suspect it might be moved back). He's always been one of my music heroes ever since I was a kid.

In his book he mentions starring in Buster, which is about a train robber in the '60s. Pretty amusing trailer. Woldn't mind seeing the movie sometime, honestly.
