Thanks Clutch for giving me many years of joy chatting with other Rockets and NBA fans. And thank you for forgiving me when I have been a douche, dick, selfish, untrustworthy or in other ways given you grief ... even just the tiniest moments of disturbance to the Force that is David Hardisty. So thrilled to see you in the Rockets Lockerroom now doing Interviews.

To others: Here's some threads throughout history providing more samples of giving Thanks, if you need ideas on how to do this.

Feel free to bump any of these if you want to flood the Feedback for Gratitude, like JR recently did to flood the GARM with Melotude!

@Clutch, you continue to provide and improve not only the finest fan site covering the Rockets like a blanket (much of that coverage provided by the members here), with no serious competition worth mentioning, but what is also the greatest BBS focused on the Association. For some of us, it's our home in the realm of social media. That certainly describes me. It's the only BBS I belong to, the only place I post, and if I want to have a conversation online, the chances are that I can find any topic that interests me right here, whether it's about basketball, about other sports centered on Houston and beyond, or about the countless other topics in Hangout and what I sometimes call the basement, D&D.

We've grown from around 3600 members when I finally found the nerve to stop lurking and join, to over 44,000 today. That's mind blowing, and it isn't like I need any help in that regard. I've been here for 16 years now, and hope both the BBS and Deckard are still around for another 16 years. Thanks, Clutch. ClutchFans means a lot to me.

    Well said @heypartner

Clutch deserves the recognition, especially now when a vocal minority are insulting his workout routine (whatever) and his faith (not cool at all). And he stays cool through it all. The overwhelming majority are grateful for this site and how it is run.

    Cheers Clutch.

Snow Villiers also went after another religion in multiple posts Friday night. Glad to see all of them gone from this board.

If clutchfans treated each other with the kindness and respect that they did in 1999
    The board would be pure

Well, I first discovered this place in the Spring of '99, Os, when I was trying to find any sort of information about my hometown Rockets. I remember being shocked that ClutchCity (at the time) existed. I lurked through that summer and remember The Mall Guy hearing about the Francis trade about the time Popeye came out with his scoop. My mind was blown (again - my mind's been blown since around 1967) that they both proved to be on the level. Ever since, I've usually been cautious about denouncing someone who says they heard something about the team. I wish I could recall his moniker, but the fellow was walking around the mall, Memorial seems familiar, and overheard some Rockets brass talking about the deal.

Popeye had his own sources. Sure miss Popeye. Anyway, I lurked until my join date, March of 2002. @Behad and @Mango often gave new members the business back then, or so it seemed to me at the time. It was almost like an initiation you had to go through. Anyway, I foolishly waited, and waited, and then waited some more, like a goofus. New members these days have it easy, in my opinion. Heck, there are 40,000 more members now!

When the Pilgrims came, they created a holiday called Thanksgiving

The 99ers are the pilgrims of Clutchfans and people should always be thankful of that!

Wow, my path here is a mirror of yours. I lurked from mid 1999 until I finally joined in June of 2002.
