For some reason the only names that came to mind when I read the first post were Hidalgo and Jose Lima (RIP). I know both those guys had at least two good seasons, so it doesn't really fit. Did anyone ever reveal who the actual guy was that was in the article? I'm curious.
One poster did do a "soft" reveal. ESPN chose Jason Lane. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/28941967/the-biggest-one-hit-wonders-every-national-league-team
Hidalgo had 2 great years with some okay seasons sprinkled in (basically Jason Lane's good season). Lima had 2 good years for us before moving to MMP. Mitch Meluskey would have been my choice. Lucas Harrell is also a good option. I didn't see anyone mention Jarred Cosart (the season did occur across two teams, but mostly with us). When I first was reading the article, I expected Jeriome Robertson.
Don't remember off hand how short he was decent, but I seem to remember Daryle Ward flamed out pretty quick after 10 bombs in limited action his rookie season.
JR Towels was Babe Ruth with a catcher's mitt for two weeks, then he turned into Adam Everett with a catcher's mitt.
