    Posting Rules for Astros Board

    1) If you state something as fact, you better be able to back it up.
    2) If you state an opinion:
--a) if its popular, your fine.
--b) if its on the fringes, you are required to explain your view
--c) if its unpopular, you better be able to go 10 rounds and expect all the big guns to descend upon you
    3) Funny posts are fine if folks actually laugh
    4) Trolls not allowed
    5) Poke the Bear too often and expect to find yourself on ignore lists

    :)

Whatever the right decision was, two things are for certain: Greg Gibson is a cunt and MMP is the new Mecca for ball teams.

Your hating-self didn't realize 13/10 might equal 13 SBs with 10 CSs.. smdh

The level of blindness you exhibit while hating is Harden Game 6 vs SA bad.

The A's should play in some crappy suburban mall.... maybe in the food court or the empty lot that has been collecting dust since Circuit City closed.

    What a sad situation.....

Yeah, except, again - you're choosing to ignore that he stole the base. Twice. I'd be more inclined to agree with you had the CS been his first attempt. But he showed great instincts and picked two perfect pitches to run on (i.e. long strides from Kimbrel).

I can't figure out why Aoki swung at both pitches. Fisher had two huge jumps; sure, maybe you get him to 3rd on a hit or, at the very least, avoid a DP. But you also hang him out to dry if you don't put the ball on the ground. I would wager Hinch wasn't pleased with Aoki. If Fisher steals 2nd there, then Aoki can put him 90 feet away with a catcher who leads the AL in passed balls. And you don't take the bat out of Springer's hands.

Maybe it was a H&R and Aoki got too aggressive. He hasn't done much of anything well since April.

All this being said I am in a much better mood this morning and I think it's about time to call this thread history. Fisher with some redemption last night, and I LOVE me some SPRINGER DINGERS. (Maybe that's why I wanted to see him get a chance to hit the night before....)

I will not however apologize for being passionate about my Astros, and those of you that disagree with my opinions can all suck it! (I kid, I kid, kinda...)

I clearly ruffled some of the feathers of the Good Ole' boys here and for that I can say I'm sincerely not sorry. See ya on the ignore list.

    ST out/

Agree with the later. But I don't think it was a H&R because, IIRC, Fisher slid on both steal attempts. If it had been a true hit and run, the goal would've been 3rd base, not 2nd.

I just don't think it was particularly smart baseball on Aoki's part.

You mean the thread about the guy who is second among all qualified major leaguers in OBP and OPS from the lead off spot?

To be fair I don't think many were saying he is a bad leadoff hitter, but that he could be better utilized elsewhere in the lineup. This year the bottom of the lineup has been fantastic so it hasn't mattered that much.
