We heard a weird explanation. They haven't said Hinch requested the game be played under protest. The only way to win a protest if it is later confirmed that rules were misinterpreted.

I remember that Alou game. The broadcasters said they need to call the ledge on the Crawford Boxes Moes Ledge after his HR.

Keuchel in the 1st and Gattis being on the roster cost us this game. Should be easy things to figure out and fix going forward.

Man on 3rd, 1 out, in field pop fly. All we needed was a sacrifice, the entire city knew that when he walked up to the plate that run wouldn't be scored, and it wasn't.

Weird, given that he's come up in the runner-on-3rd/less-than-2-out situation 5 times this year and has 4 RBI's in those opportunities. Gattis is not a good baseball player right now, but people seem to be creating their own versions of reality for him.

You tend to really focus on the failures when you're having a bad season. Fair or not, that's the way it goes unfortunately for some. I hold Kemp equally culpable for that loss, hitting into the DP with 2 on and 1 out.

I don’t disagree. Just throwing ideas out on what could give the club a different look and snap them out of this feast or famine offensive funk. Maybe the actual spoiling is last years prolific offense.

Despite the loss, glad we're scoring a few runs @MMP. The Indians aren't chopped liver.

I think Gattis needs to start pissing on his hands.

Especially for the check swing on the obvious ball 4. Went from bases loaded 1 out to DP in 2 pitches.

Hasn’t Gattis been a second half guy the last two years in a row?

Same with Bregs last year as well as this year hopefully.

Obviously Correa and Altuve will heat up more than they have. Gurriel hasn’t gotten hot yet either.

Last year he was way, way worse in the 2nd half, but then again he was catching more that year so maybe he just wore out? The year before that his splits were the opposite yet he caught a bunch of games too.

Long story short: I have no ****ing idea what's happening other than he mashes as a catcher and sucks as a DH.

anybody who references it will never get it. it's exactly as relevant/irrelevant as the win column on it's own. and neither of them mean anything without the other for context.

    "bbbbbut....you can't UN-LOSE games!!!!"

I hope you know I'm just ****ing with you, and every time someone mentions "loss column" I think of you.

Would you rather be the team that is 28-13 or 30-17?
