Arizona's defensive struggles just won't end! Should have been scored as a single and a two-base error, and not a double and one base error, IMO.
Got another save, but not a clean one. Always feels like there's men on base. Next court date is the 19th, Wednesday. How does this affect his availability next series?
After a crappy start to this and the OAK series, both ended well. Good job. The football team is a different story.
4-pitch walk with a 4-run lead is not exactly what you want to see in the 9th inning. A win's a win. 5 up in the loss column, 3 up on the Yanks.
Read this for more. http://www.sportingnews.com/ca/mlb/...ton-astros-mlb-news/1iapjcshyhswazzkq0rrqeupv We'll see, but I'm still not content with the move until all is cleared. Go Astros, always and forever, but character matters. Let's hope all turns out fine, and the team is vindicated. But if he is found guilty, then what? Just wondering.
Huge day for the Astros. Now they have a tad more breathing room over Oakland. Football in Houston is another matter.
If they score it a hit, they have to score it a double. The fielder essentially "bobbled" it into the extra base. You can't give Correa a hit on the first bobble and the fielder an error on the second bobble. It's either an error all the way or a double all the way.
Situations like today where the closer was already up, they should just let the closer pitch unless it becomes a complete blowout. It seems far too often when pitchers aren't expecting to go into a game s**t gets weird.
Harris had been doing quite well in the "no longer a save situation save" role. McHugh's regression towards the end of the year can't be entirely ignored. He's a perfect option to keep on the roster if a Keuchel or Morton start goes poorly.... but its also been some time since he's gone multiple innings, and i'm hoping they try to stretch him out some to be more of that long man.
Thanks, not too familiar with details and certain parts of official scoring. Honestly I'd have been tempted to call it an error, as I'm very pro-pitcher, but Correa needed that hit.
