He's not supposed to repeat the Same BS and push out the same coaching performance week in and week out. During his winning seasons he relied on our formidable defense to carry us. Fast forward to now, our defense isn't great, our oline sucks and he's not helping the cause with the shtty playcalling. He says the right thing, but during the game he calls the same stupid sht, now even calling out plays that puts our franchise QB at risk. The only difference i seen him do is wear glasses.
If he feels as the head coach he should take responsibility then why are you letting him off the hook? He's good with getting the blame because it is part of his job. So let him. I've said it a hundred times on here, I don't mind him as a head coach. He just needs an OC to call most of the plays.
dude is clueless. LOST. holding this team back....he needs to get a OC and get his head out of his a**.
Bobby what's even more disturbing, is Obrien stood at that podium and basically said, "Watson has to do a better job protecting himself". But ran two designed runs for Watsons knowing the youngster was complaining about his ribs.
Exactly, I laugh when his defenders wants credit for a supposedly quru who had to ask Dabo for advice. Yeah give the man cred for having to run Clemson's offense. Went back to his dreadful scheme, lol didn't work. Now he is back to running Clemson's playbook. Gotta love it
I keep hearing people say what a horrible play caller Obrien is, but notice how nobody ever explains and goes into detail in how they should run the offense. I think most people are confusing shitty playcalling with shitty execution, but they can't execute when they have the worst O-line in the league. Also, Watson is putting himself at risk, not Obrien. He's the one choosing taking the hits, choosing not to slide.
By this logic, it is never the coach's fault. If it is a bad play it must be the players, if it is a good play it must be the coach. They have the worst o-line in the league because he insists on retaining his buddy as the coach. No way dude should have kept his job after last season.
You haven't been paying attention, people go into plenty detail about BOB's terrible play calls. An example is having the ball on the goal line 2 inches from a TD and going from the shotgun. Another example would be continuing to run up the middle on damn near every first down despite having no success whatsoever. Just pay more attention and you'll see BOB's garbage play calling torn to shreds. If we know what play is coming, the opposing defense knows what play is coming.
Play calling the last two games has been fine overall. There has been some situations that I think O'brien has just tried to do too much for the situation. Shotgun on 4th and inches at the goal line for example. 95% of the league would have effectively QB sneaked for 6. Shotgun away from the goal line was just an overthought. The Texans after a slow start are 3rd in total offense. That just points to execution in the redzone.
He's the one calling the plays....like shotgun from 1/2 inch out. There is a lot to complain about right now. Last season was last season. This season, he's been terrible.
I think Romo does this best: he says what a team should run and they actually do it Andy it ends up being the perfect call. When he announced the Texans game he said what should’ve been run but BOB ran it right up the middle. It’s like yeah we should’ve ran that wtf
This makes no sense. We can thank the GM for the crap OL. It is not like OBie cut good OL at the end of training camp.
I didn't even notice Hopkins had a diff uniform than everyone else until about halfway through the game. Guess it's from seeing Rockets all wear different colored leggings or no leggings for too long. Weird part is he stood out like an igloo in the desert with all white leggings surrounded by all our guys in blue.
