Reddick is making contact but not good contact. His contact rate is the third highest on the team at 87.4%. However his batting average on balls in play (BABIP) is 12th highest at .281. Admittedly, I'm a novice at using sabermetric stats, so that's a very simple and probably flawed analysis, but it does jive with the eye test. He's leaves me feeling very uncertain when he comes up. Not really. Winning every single game against lesser opponents isn’t a realistic expectation. We should and probably will win this series however.
Not sure if you noticed but the Yankees aren’t giving us much margin. I personally think snagging HFA in the ALCS will make our lives significantly easier. I want no part of a game 7 in yankee stadium if I can avoid it.
