I'd be curious to see how effective the Astro's shifts are compared to league average shift effectiveness.
At one point Astros had saved the most runs in MLB with the shift. But I wonder if that pace has held up during these last several weeks when just about everything has gone wrong
I'm thinking like a runs saved per shift type stat. Basically are other teams deploying more effective shifts but Astros lead league in total because they shift the most?
Mental error turning an out into a hit. Man this team just can’t find a groove... we’re struggling in every aspect of the game.
Ugh this really should be a 22-win season for JV, Cole, and Morton. Hopefully we still come back, my favorite reliever to get wins is McHugh. Still hoping he can somehow get to 10 wins (unlikely now). I want to trade for Justin Smoak. I've talked about him before the deadline. Can play 1B and also DH. Even provides insurance JUST in case the injury bug bites us again, and is a switch hitter who can provide needed balance for our heavily-right handed lineup.
