So many lefties early in the season. Paxton in particular looked really good against us earlier.

Paxton and Morton were the two guys I kept hearing could have breakout performances like Hill did last season (though Paxton was pretty damn good in 20 starts). Funny that they start against each other in their first two starts.

    Its their opening day, correct?

Interesting that the Astros get 2 opening days with the same 2 teams involved.

Favors the hitters. Pitchers don't like the cold and we could use anything against Pax. Guy is an ace when healthy.

Ok, good, because I was confused when people were talking about the weather. At first I thought I was going crazy because I'm pretty sure I've been to a game at Safeco where the roof was closed, and I wasn't sure if I was "misremembering" (in the words of the great Roger Clemens).

Anyways, our bats better #GETWOKE this series, otherwise Seattle is gonna take us over a barrel.

Ive heard their roof described more like a umbrella, than a roof which actually seals like ours. It may keep the field dry, but the field temperature and humidity isnt controlled. Still will be cold and damp.

Correct. There's actually a gap between the top of the stadium and the roof itself, so things like temperature and humidity still have an effect.

yep. And if you're in the wrong sections, the wind brings the rain down on you through the gap. So much so that the ushers come through and try their best to move you around

I think Seattle is where we started our tear in 2015. Hoping for the same this go-around.

For those I have seen shoving the entire panic button up their asses, let's put something into perspective.

Kalas explained it best during the broadcast yesterday in regards to slow starts for the bats this first week.

If the baseball season were the NFL, the first week of the season would be the equivalent to the first half of the first game of the season for the NFL. So to be completely freaking out regarding a certain player's performance seems a bit silly when you think about it in that manner.
