I agree about Javier and Belak. I will add that maybe Altuve has found his stroke as well. And that is certainly good news. But I feel the opposite about your other statement. We basically have a AAAA pitching staff minus just a couple guys. Considering the names we are throwing out there, they continue to exceed my expectations, at least a little. IMO, not enough offense did us in tonight. I say this, not because they were terrible, but because they have to exceed in their play to make up for the inexperienced pitching staff. We are going to lose a good many games when they dont. Yea, I know, we lead the league at 6 runs per game or so, but they have to do that most every night right now until we get guys back that pitch if we expect to win games. And some nights, 6 runs wont be enough.
They don’t need starting pitching and I do believe JV returns before October. Grienke, Javier, Valdez, Bielak, Urquidy, McCullers should get 3-4 quality starts out of that rotation every time through
