No more link requesting/posting in the game threads, please

Suggestion: merge that thread with this one, and make this a sticky called "How to Watch the Rockets"

How about We create and sticky a "Rockets Links" thread. Many of us rely solely on these links to watch games as they are literally the only way we can do so.

Maybe I'm just paranoid but will there be legal issues with this. Like stickie a thread just for steams?

 

Wow, watching those videos was like reliving my childhood.

 

I won't watch the game these days...I usually just look at play-by-play

 

I like the idea of a permasticky thread on top.

I don't know for sure, but I frequent another sports forum and they have a stickied thread for streaming sites. I don't think it would be illegal to link to them.

 

If this thread is going to be stickied all the time, doesn't this clutter the board more than asking for a page or two prior to the game in the GAME thread, what links there are to watch the game (as sometimes htown/athde don't work)? And if it's not going to be stickied all the time, I can just picture it now..

Poster A logs onto CF. It's gametime, goes to the gamthread and asks "any links?" Poster B then kindly or rudely informs him that we can't ask for that in the gamethreads no longer. Poster A apologizes, and starts a NEW thread asking for where he can see the game.

 

Which will be closed and/or deleted, and if they continue to make threads for that purpose, they will quickly find they no longer have the ability to make threads.

He didnt post this as "up for discussion", this is the way it is and shall be in the future.

 

Perhaps you should lock this thread Clutch though keep it stickied? I don't think he wanted you to actually post game links in this thread.

There is a "Where to watch the Rockets?" thread, which is probably a better spot for posting of game links.

Watching games on the internet sucks. The only link I need when watching the Rockets is Earl Campbell's sausage.

 

A lot of fans live out of state, or in other Texas regions and don't have the options. (I'm aware this is sarcasm).

 

I live in Sydney Australia, and the only way that I can ever watch my Rockets is on the net. If not for the guys on clutchfans posting links I would be lost.

It would be like turning off someone's life support , I need only a few things in this world, food water, air and Rockets Basketball.

no, it is not. A thread for that purpose will have it clearly labeled.

 

Clutch is talking about posting "links?" by itself within game threads. People need to start reading the entire thread before asking for "links?" about watching the game or they might just need to brush up on their googling skillz.

You might get burned with steam.
