This was an ok series I give it a 3/5 Stars Had alot of action and good storylines but kind of got lost in the sauce Rocket River
Reviews on this show are really, really bad. I'm usually of the mindset that bad reviews shouldn't define a tv show or movie...but reviews are really, reaaaaally bad.
I gave it a chance because space, and because Starbuck was back in space, and because beautiful people on a space ship (not enough black people in space though. AI doesn't count he isn't real), 2 episodes in and it hasn't grabbed me. My girl Katee was really overacting IMO.
2/5. I feel like I've seen every episode plot in a different sci-fi series. How is average age on the ship like 28 and all hot? If something was this important, there would be at least a few seasoned individuals traveling? That said, I'm a sucker for Sci-Fi and will watch if a season 2 comes out.

I watched fifteen mins and it didn't grab me yet. Maybe it's like expanse where the first season was a marathon of garbage but set the mood?
The fact that they made a point of making everybody on the spaceship except for Starbuck in their 20's should have told me that it was going to be written for stupid teenagers, but I kept watching until I could confirm it was, in fact written for stupid teenagers. I seem to attack the writing on every science fiction show that RocketRiver posts about, so much that I kind of feel like doing so is a bit of a cliche, but it felt like it was written by someone for whom this was their first job after graduating from college. Terrible writing by someone who seems like the sum of their real world experience is living in a frat house.
That dream episode was really annoying. You can't be doing a full dream episode that soon into a series. That's got to be like season 3+ material. Not sure if I'll continue watching this thing. Disappointed.
I remember the criticism of the Alien Movie. . Covenent I think That smart people made stupid decisions Realizing that no one is really smart. Cardboard characters . . . .. insane forced relationships and directed propagandaish writing . . ..i don't mind that **** but damn it Stop with the hammer The Duel story lines were stupid I am unsure myself. . . . This has the potential to be better, but it just does not seem to be there. I agree with a lot of the comments so far, especially about the casting decisions. I do like the AI character, though. He's been the best in the series so far. A lot of dud characters who don't seem to have a point.
I only suffered through some of the first episode for Jessica Camacho. But even she wasn't enough to keep me watching.
Look, Netflix needs "bad" sci-fi to go with he good. This falls into the "So bad, it's good" Category. I finished the 10 episodes. Yes, the acting was bad and the story lines were ridiculous. However, I was entertained to see what ****ed up **** they would come up with next. I would like to see a Season 2.
My wife and I watched the first episode last night. Good lawd, this is a bad show. Slingshot a sun's gravity? We'll play it by ear, hit the drive on my say! (what about astronomical calculations in the computer?) **** that! Eyeball it! Hey, I'm the improbable p***y husband of bad ass chick, Starbuck, I have a purse! I think we have a way to communicate with the aliens! (plays music) General: Didn't work within 30 seconds, you're fired! Why am I out here doing this? I'm a female general anyway? Tune in next week for Total Millennial Space Drama!
Actually, Season 2 is MUCH better. They learned from Season 1 and it is total different. Spoiler They basically got rid of the worst actors by killing them off and replacing them with crew that was in cryo-sleep. I'm hoping for a Season 3. It is rare that a show improves as much as it did in Season 2.
Truth Season 2 was MILES BETTER than season 1 They don't even seem like the same team - on or off the screen I would not be mad at a season 3 . . . but that would be pushing the luck Rocket River
I’ll have to watch this solo. My wife said it was literally the worst show she’s ever seen and refuses to watch another minute. Usually I can start playing a show and she will go with it but she actually got cranky with me when I started episode two.
