On Episode 8 of 13. It is going ok but getting kind of whiney and annoying The main characters are a bit overly self righteous and blaming others for their own issues. Evidently it is based on a book that is popular. I am going to finish it but it started strong now it is getting predictable and preachy the biggest Mystery is what exactly each person did but alot of it seems innocous and made to seem worse than their were alot of it was about interpretation Rocket River
Enjoying right now (and at about the same place in the series). It does tend to bog down a bit, and its definitely targeted to a younger demo (my two daughters are watching with us). But NetFlix is scoring big lately (just finished Hotel Beau Sejour, and just added Rosewood and Border Town).
First episode got me hooked. Then after that you realize it's an Spoiler "Anti-bullying campaign "] stretched out over 13 episodes. I'm only watching now to see what Clay did.
I was much the same I thought about it today [finished it] and it becomes more enjoyable as I remodulated my thoughts This spoiler is about how my view reoriented and minor spoiler maybe but just wanted to warn folx. Spoiler Once I started looking back on it. . . . I thought this is so ridiculous Then . . . I thought. . wait. . THIS IS A REVENGE FLICK!! Once I viewed it through that lens .. . it got better She might as well had been a vengeful ghost revisiting all her friends cause NOTHING she put in those tapes made ANYONE's life better It was trite and yes . . . I did stay to hear what Clay did . . . .. by that point I was in . . gotta finish it mode. . . . Rocket River
Im on episode 4 Spoilers don't seem to exist in this universe. Someone please just tell Clay what's on his tape!
Just finished it. I'm glad I did. Some parts were just painful to watch. Mr. Porter I'm guessing we'll have a season 2? The ending was pretty open ended.
A lot of spoilers. My predictions if there is a season 2. Spoiler Tyler's photographs are his targets. He took down Alex's because he was the only one who was remotely decent to him. Remember the armory in the trunk in his bedroom. I believe they'll also go through the trial in season two, how Mr. Porter deals with his actions or lack now that he's fully aware he could have prevented Hannah from killing her self. I think deep down he knew but he like everyone else was just trying to convince himself otherwise. Plus we need to see justice for Jessica and Hanna in regards to what Bryce did to them. If season one was about a student committing suicide due to bullying I think they will set up season 2 with Tyler no longer being able to take it and shooting up the school.
It is hard to binge watch but those tapes one at a time is just a tiny fragment of the whole thing. Got to fast forward it a little. Clay looks like Klay Thompson. Yup, the Counselor Porter was weak..... Oh boy, Bryce......
I thought about starting this yesterday with the wife, is it worthwhile? Opinion seems a bit mix after reading through the thread.
Finished last night. No spoilers, but enjoyed it more than I thought (worried it would be too much of a teen angst show ala The Fosters or Pretty Little Liars). Acting was really good despite the expected caricature parts. Now back to my crime dramas (Rosewood and Border Town, to name two).
I'm on episode 5 and I'm really enjoying it so far but towards the end of episode 4 I had this crazy theory Spoiler So far everything that we saw transpired in the past that supposedly caused Hannah her suicide is from her own words. Meaning we don't know if it actually happened. I was thinking maybe what if she's lying and is trying to manipulate clay to do her bidding? Jessica did say that Hannah was a liar and evil. I'm getting the "Usual suspect" vibe from this show. Hannah was a crazy unstable jealous b**** who killed herself and knowing that clay would do anything for her, she created this plan to get Clay ruin the live's of people that she thinks did her wrong. I know this theory is far fetched and probably not the case but can you imagine if they shyamalan the ending like that.
