I suppose I'll start it again, since everyone is ready and we just need to get the ball rolling.

That puts us at 15. If anyone else wants in, now would be a good time.

I'm including a poll for Alltime or AllNBA. Lets get this started.

Personally I'm going with current draft. Last time we didnt have enough people playing and there was no salary cap. I think with these factors, coupled with a more progressed season, it could make for a very interesting draft. Last time just didn't feel like the old current drafts we've had and I think with the amount of people playing now, that is likely to change. Just my opinion.

I voted for current draft. I haven't done one in a while.

I don't mind current drafts with a twist. Like the current draft with everyone in their prime. Or having one all time player with the current draft.

I agree with a 4 hour wait.. We take things slower and an 8 hour dead period from 12am to 8am.

I voted current. I feel that gives a more interesting aspect, since you know, all-time players havent really changed.

Agreed, we shouldn't rush things like in the past.

Also, I'd participate in a current draft, just voted for all-time because I slightly prefer it. If we're doing current, please set a realistic salary cap. Judging super teams is impossible and leads to b!tching.

With 15/16 people super teams shouldn't really be a problem, should they?

Also are we judging players/teams purely on performance thus far this year or how good we actually think they are?

I'd say we have to realize that some players are stuck on sh!tty teams/situations or haven't played that many games due to injury, etc.
So I'd say we all can debate how good a player actually is and take the last two seasons or something into account(with some exceptions, for example KG being washed up due to age and not on his last season level).

Three things we need to decide if we go current are salary cap, amount of players per team(8 or 10) and minimum games played this far in order to be eligible/other injury rules

Salary cap. It would be interesting if we could have offensive/defensive philosophy too. But that might be too complicated.

Like after drafting and trading is done you set your offense/defense based on a current team in the NBA. Like if you want a trapping defense you would say Miami defense. If you want a pick and roll offense, you would pick Los Angeles Clippers offense.

Just so everyone knows what style you plan on playing.

One of these drafts I think it's be interesting just to have a random rounds... Like

    1st round all time
2nd round international round "only draftable players are not from North America"
    3rd round mcdonalds all Americans
    4th round current players
5th round players name must start with a.. "j"
6th round player must have had an acl tear
7th round current College player round "ie wiggins Parker"
8th round nickname round players with credible nicknames "dwade don't count" names like "the glove, the admiral, the king, etc" counts

Of course this would have to be an all time draft based on prime.

In some way we may balance this out to make it work.. Not saying use it now bit maybe in the future would make things interesting.
