National Archives releases JFK assassination documents

It looks like it hasn't happened yet. The National Archives most recent release right now is July: https://www.archives.gov/research/jfk/2017-release. When they release, we'll probably see an update to this page. Since they are in EST, I expect we'll see the release around 3:59 PM today.

 

It would be so insane If there was something of value in these.

 

After a legal case and Comission, and 60 years of conspiracy theory, I would seriously doubt anything new will be revealed, but it should give us something to talk about. And if there was something delicious in there, it would carefully be extracted. I do however fully expect ancient alien theorists to run a full season on it.

 

Yeah I doubt there is anything in there any documents of value have probably been destroyed...

 

Well, here's the problem with our existence in this century. The documents will contain a ton of data.

All some nutball will need to do (and they will definitely do it) is find something that can be taken away from its context, distorted and amplified, and boom, the CIA killed JFK! Or, the far left killed JFK! Or, women libbers killed JFK! etc.

Just going to make some of the craziest bubbles a little crazier, and should roughly double the total content of youtube by the time the weirdos are done with the new trove. LOL.

There's not going to be anything in this. Several months ago it was reported part of it magically went missing. And right before it's supposed to be declassified, that's not suspicious at all.

There is a part in the movie Zeitgeist where they quote a JFK speech. It sounds like he is talking about a global elite conspiracy. So it took 10 seconds to google the speech and he was talking about communism. The problem is most people have not learned critical thinking skills so they fall for rhetoric.
