An electric suv Mustang. I'm one of those diehards that is going to take a hard pass on this thing. Should've just called it a Probe Focus SUV

What makes that an SUV? It looks like a large sedan... if it had a trunk instead of a stub-end, it'd look exactly like a sedan.

looks solid overall though... not sure copy-cat will help them make a huge dent, but more about preservation of brand than shocking the world with a category defining vehicle.

its their first attempt at an electric car that isn't being created to meet the regulatory minimums. They were originally going to make a modified Ford Focus electric before they decided that they were going to actually attempt to compete in the EV market.

I'm not sure this thing will actually do much but it does mean that we finally have another automaker actually attempting to compete with Tesla instead of making modified versions of sedans that only exist to meet minimum regulatory requirements. We need more automakers actually embracing EVs and creating high quality options.

Do you know the actual number of car companies that are doing exactly this?

Would you be surprised that most of all car manufacturers are attempting to compete with Telsa and have models already out this year.

This is definitely nothing groundbreaking for ford.

I really don't think anyone is surprised that car makers are attempting to get in on the growing market. I just don't think they are going to attract m(any) Mustang enthusiasts by slapping the iconic name on it, much less a Mach badge.

I'm starting to think this is a troll stunt for free advertising like the Sonic movie.

The thing about Mustang Machs is the sound of the exhaust, beautiful since the first one I head in 1969.
This electric one is going to need little speakers in the back.

Ford execs would lose their f***ing minds if this thing were HALF as successful as the Mustang II.

    Good for drive-bys, though.
