There's definitely no way Luhnow could have known the likelihood of having a roster spot for him, one way or another, right? And wanted to give the pitcher an extra day or so to acclimate?

He was stellar in Detroit. I don't know what they do now...

Glad to see new guys get a chance.

What type of arsenal does this have?

*edit - lol, JR posted that while I was tying. Good info.

From the few pics/vids I've seen, he kinda looks like Correa and Springer had a baby and out came Musgrove.

Musgrove has a legit chance to be a true number 4 guy in the rotation for years to come. He can be an innings eater with a durable frame. He might be a high 3 or very low 4 ERA pitcher, but I think he can be very successful.

He looks better than a nu!net 4 starter. Paulino should be up also next yr.

    Keuchel
McCullers hopefully no Tommy John surgery
    Musgrave
Would love to sign a lefty.
    Open spot for next yr.

He's got better stuff than I thought. MOR seems appropriate. Some days MOR guys pitch like #1's, somedays they pitch like #5's. Saying he profiles as a sure bet #4 starter is actually a pretty big complement. Being thought of as a guy who will definitely be a rotation guy and not just a #5 means he's expected to be above average for all major league pitchers.

Very impressed! 92-95mph and showed a sinker/2 seamer that has some wicked movement down in the zone. Breaking pitch looked very sharp as well.

Definitely needs to be in the rotation next year from what he showed tonight.

Man...imagine a rotation with McCullers, Velasquez, and Musgrove...so sad.
