Lionsgate Movies have premiered the teaser trailer and poster for “Spiral: From the Book of Saw,” a new entry in the horror franchise and one that was conceived by and stars comedian Chris Rock. Here, brash Detective Ezekiel ‘Zeke’ Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game. Samuel L. Jackson co-stars as their police chief. Darren Lynn Bousman helms the film from a script by Josh Stolberg & Pete Goldfinger based on a story by Rock who executive produces. Mark Burg and Oren Koules produce the film which opens May 15th. https://www.darkhorizons.com/teaser-trailer-chris-rock-in-saw-film-spiral/
Saw movies have been repetitive trash to me, but this has Chris Rock, the dude from Handmaid’s Tale, and Samuel L. Jackson so I’ll watch...not in theaters, but when I can rent it for a night and watch at home
lmao This is maybe the most pointless and strangest reboot of all time Having said that...I will watch. It is so weird that I simply have to see what it’s all about.
hope tom cruise is the new villain boss. would watch multiple times in the movies and watch some more once on netflix
Plainclothes cop/detective using a vintage muscle car as his police vehicle is such a hilariously bad cliche.
The sign of a really good movie is having the name of the movie repeated over and over again as part of the background music in the trailer. You know...so now one forgets the name of the movie.
Saw this last night and was underwhelmed. I've never been a big fan of the series to begin with but I hope this would something fresh but it doesn't just feels like all the other Saw movies with the lightest sprinkling of "social justice" commentary..... C-
