Collider has several interviews up today with the cast and director. A lot of good stuff. We should be getting the trailer this week at SDCC along with a Shazam trailer.
Literally laughing out loud at that Disney-fied poster. EDIT: Can Aquaman control someone like Jacques Cousteau?
I remember not too long ago you'd get teaser trailers 8-10+ months ahead of the release date, get people amped up.
Other than Batman, Aquaman is the one DC character I really want to like. I hope this turns out OK. What would make me even happier is for Marvel to shock announce a Sub-Mariner movie right after Avengers 4.
I have heard the comic has been great since rebirth, but I still haven't read it. They need to hit a home run with this movie and Shazam to get their footing and I really hope they stay true to their characters and source material.
Poster looks dumb, but the movie is directed by James Wan. Confident that this will at least not suck like the majority of DCEU films
Think it they go for a Bioshock type atmosphere, with some hot aqua babes, lots of sharks, and some deformed characters, they've got something unique. As a reluctant superhero, could be different, but a tough story to sell. Sounds like a Wolverine like character. Hope they can pull it off because Flash sucks, Batman has dropped way off, The robo guy is lame, and superman continues to go for too much. Wonderwoman rocks. So let's hope Aquman can deliver on that level. You figure he made it through the 80's as a primary superhero so there's something to his having endured for so long. Not a big fan of who they cast, but his introduction to the universe sucked, so they've got a lot of clean up to do.
Amber Heard had a weird role in JL. Looked hot in the promos but almost non existent and random in the movie
