"I think that's the thing we'll take away from tonight," Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said. "I think our execution, our certainty in what we wanted to do wasn't where it needs to be and that starts with me. So, I think a lot of tonight's on me. ...

2nd straight coach to take responsibility for the loss to Rockets. Poor adjustments.

Bud and Carlisle are considered top coaches.

I'm not going to jump for joy until we win another title.
This gets a smile of happiness, but no jump.

    I’m not criticizing individual players
And I’m also not going to give any credit for D’Antoni for Harden’s defensive plays that seems more self motivation than any schemes

When they play poor defense you blame D'Antoni but when they play good defense then the credit goes to individual players?

    I see how you are.

It's the adjustments , the personel, the lack of time outs when you team is tired

harden is not part of a scheme or plan, he's just playing good individual defense
not part of traps or zones

but if you want to be a super homer that's fine, i'll be bart simpson

we got to the WCF with McHale

that dude had coaching problems, but not when you post all homer stuff

    Crazy to say, probably...

But is it possible MDA has lucked into a defensive style that might work, in a non traditional style? Similar to how his offensive style was non-traditional at first?

Sure, they still need taller guys, who can play the same exact style while getting more rebounds. But is it possible defense of the future, or at least a solid defense that could work for teams like the Rockets in the future, is not just the constant switching, but basically a frenetic attempt at chaos with hands? Constant pressure on passing lanes, steals, etc.?

If someone just wants to isolate a post up big man, you just let them.

I never gave Kevin McHale credit for the miracle comeback against the Clippers in the playoffs

I don't know if you know remember that D'Antoni was the coach that lost last year in the playoffs.
And when the other posters say the same thing like no adjustments, running our starters to the ground ,
    you can ignore them too.

You can pretend nothing ever happened and that Mike D'Antoni is better than Rudy T.

This doesnt happen due to just 1 player.

Give credit where credit is due.

When the Rockets won 22-games in a row, was that because of T-Mac and Yao?
    or Rick Adelman's coaching?

I'm not giving Mike credit for the Dallas game,

you can say that was a defensive clinic if you want.

    I won't.

And you are trolling this thread because you think my criticism is wrong.
Which over the entire tenure of Mike D'Antoni as the coach is true.

Just like people saying that our offense sucks under JVG.
    Well, it did.

So what happened the last few years in the PLAYOFFS?
why did we lost? Chris Paul's ankle? No motivation cause of KD's absense?

    100% Players
    0% D'Antoni
