What good does this kind of implied message send? This is not some kind of well-thought criticism, but rather it is an implied sexist and racist attack.

I present to you: the rise of the illiberal.

Pretty rude of her to indicate how ugly those guys are -- they're just trying to make an honest living at a job no women applied for.

Someone said something stupid on Twitter.

    Yep. Deserves its own thread.

    No one knows.

I thought maybe he decided to take some courses on Udacity to help develop his brain a little bit and I was truly happy for him.

    I guess not though.

I’m going to take a crack at this.

Micro Agression + Shame implies something to do with women. Maybe #MeToo since that is all the rage.

No idea here. “Implied message” makes me still think this still has something to do with women.

Ok, a tweet by a woman.

But 12 pictures of men are included.

Putting it all together ... I can narrow it down to one of the below:

Those 12 men are known sexual assaulters.

Those 12 “men” are actually women who identify as men.

Those 12 men are actually in the closet and all identify as women.

Those 12 men are all quite good looking and single and the woman tweeter can’t get past that to what the article is about.

    How am I doing?

...problem is we can't really seem to tell what's "smart" and what's "stupid" anymore...

...I mean seriously...we've got people walking around arguing about how flat the earth is...
...stuff like this is virtually Shakespearean in comparison....

So . . Who worked hard? Who was shamed?
What indication do we have that they worked hard?
    Who is shaming them?

Just the day before, this one popped into my feed.

These kind of tweets seems to cause a lot of outrage, but I wonder: is this empirical criticism or is it just anecdotal criticism?

Dude, you have a fukced up feed.

It is empirical criticism. It is anecdotal criticism.

This one tweet by itself is not systemic criticism.

One tweet is definitionally a "small sample size".

Does that count as a micro-aggression?

    If so, how dare you!
