I will be rotating them . . .. but Teddy Perkins cracked me up enough to have him hang around for a lil bit Rocket River
Wow some great news on this front. No need to rush him back as long as we continue to take care of games in the first round.
I didn't want to speak too soon but it is proving out that this was far less serious than the first time where he wildly overtorqued his AC joint and fell on it on the ground. The force of the hack at that exposed extended angle would have dislocated any shoulder. It was unnecessary. But in this case once popped back in there wasn't any serious stretching of ligaments, torn rotator cuff, or torn labrum like there could have been. I am sure he has a partial tear of the labrum for the joint to dislocate but this will heal on its own if there is no further injury. This appears to be the soreness and inflammation from the shock to the joint. That usually takes a couple of weeks to subside. With rehab once he gets his range of motion back it improves quickly. The Rockets will bring him back when ready but outside of conditioning and practice I wouldn't try bringing him back until the WCF.
No need for him to return this series. Infact I would wait the first couple of games of the second series to see if their is any jepordy of the Rockets losing before plugging him in. Coming back a bit too soon just increases his chances of redislocating his shoulder .
I say let him heal for the jazz series. We owe the jazz for the Malone bear hug screen and Stockton three and the 07 and 08 first round losses
Do not bring him back for this series. Let him rest for Round 2 which doesn't start for a week and a half. He's already gotten a week to rest and heal. Another 10 days or so is a luxury the team can afford right now.
If the Jazz and OKC go 7, Round 2 would not start till around the first of May. Rehab time from Date of injury would be nearly 3 weeks. Let's hope it goes 7. At least 5 now...
I don’t see Utah losing two at home where they are a good team. Rockets are going to make quick work of the battered victor.
