Been watching and reading more about Lonzo, and must confess his basketball IQ is on an elite level. His shoot is unconventional, he takes a lot of 3 pointers, and scores at a high clip at the basket on low volume. However, his off the ball play and decision making with the ball scream elite level IQ. I think he has a higher bust potential than a few of the other top picks, but this guy is a new age Jason Kidd who hits more 3 pointers coming out of college on a wonky shot.

He must really believe he will have multiple sons able to carry a new shoe brand. Lonzo Ball should probably get professional representation since pro sports is a ruthless game to have staying power. Can't see much potential for this new brand if Lonzo is merely average or even above average, much less a bust.

It's interesting to me that Lavar Ball has so many rooting against Lonzo. I can't seem to find any sort of negative press about Lonzo or his character anyway. As best I can tell he's a good hard-working kid who is exceptional at basketball who happens to be over-shadowed by the outrageous behavior of his father. I hope he succeeds in the league and breaks free of his Dad's shadow.

I need this to happen. The live look on Lavar's face would make for an epic reaction gif :D

Not that it would happen, but in this era of "boring" same dominant teams every year NBA, if Ball slipped past the Lakers, it would be great to see him continue to fall to the Knicks.

    Ball + Melo + Porzingis + Phil Jackson + NYC = entertainment

I actually hope Lonzo balls out. I don't have a problem with Lavar being as outspoken and cocky as he is. Sometimes he tends to talk past his point, which most likely doesn't come out right. But overrall, he's a great father. All his boys are well mannered, and all got talent. I think he's just a different type of father to most ppl

[Chad Ford] Lonzo ranked in Tier 1 among NBA scouts and executives. Category reserved for surefire All-Stars or franchise players. Only six other players ranked Tier 1 since 2009 -- Blake Griffin, John Wall, Anthony Davis, Andrew Wiggins, Embiid and Jabari Parker
