Holy **** man. Irving is a beast. I am so ****ing upset Hayward broke his ankle. I really wanted to see him and Irving kill the east. Now, Irving is killing the east himself, what a ****ing god.

    Kyrie >>> Isaiah

they will. that team is easily going to be the best team in the east years to come. great decision on kyrie's part to want to leave for a team of his own

Brad Stevens is one of the handful of coaches that I can say makes a positive impact on winning. You can give him a bunch of scrubs and they will overachieve. If there were a plus/minus for coaches, he would be at the top or near it.

Lmao. All the ppl who cried that Lebron didn't have enough talent around him last year, and blamed Kyrie for the Cavs losing, NOW you see how good Kyrie is? I thought Lebron was a one man band all these years lol.

His numbers are down across the board. Just sayin...

I don't remember anyone crying about the Cavs not putting talent around LeBron, except for LeBron....

Kyrie is an easy target for some people here. I figured he would adapt easily to Brad Stevens.

The Celts didn't rob the Cavs like they did the Sixers, but they clearly are better off after the trade, both right now and in the future.

His numbers are down across the board and are lower than IT last season. The Celtics are about as good as they were last year. Kyrie isn't the difference maker for the Celtics though his defense is better than IT's which isn't saying much. Brad Stevens should be getting the credit and not Kyrie.

i disagree. hes a solid coach no doubt but kyrie is definitely a difference maker for the celtics.

just another example of when supposedly "good players" lead teams to more losses than not. its everything but that players fault. never going to agree with that

yet when the good player leads the team to some success, its probably more the coach/system around them now.

majority of the people were rooting/anticipating for kyrie to fail. they thought his experience as a 20/21 year old on the cavs was the same player boston was getting. when todays kyrie is completely different and an actual star.

the general consensus was that the cavs were a 2 man show with kyrie and lebron.

against the warriors they don't have comparable talent because the warriors 3 through 8 is much stronger than the cavs 3 through 8.

we forget the celtics was the number 1 seed in the east and made the eastern conference finals last year?

of course they're still gonna be good when they replace IT for an even better player and add a 3rd overall pick.

They traded IT for Kyrie and having the same success as last season. At this point, all Kyrie has proven is he isn't worse than a healthy IT. When Kyrie was out, they still won. Kyrie is a good player, but he only moves to the needle a little bit over IT. Brad Stevens has a history of making chicken salad out of chicken parts exhibited by his success at Butler.

Only time will tell. I just don't think he has proven that yet with his play so far.

Here are their advanced stats. As you can see IT was actually more efficient offensively but a worse defender..

not really concerned with what the advanced stuff say as it relates to Kyrie and IT individually as players. a ton of stuff goes into those which i wont get into right now. like i said to each its own.

The Nets have the 10th worst record in the league as of today. This changes the dynamics of the trade considerably.

Yes, for the Celtics, it changes the trade from a home run to a grand slam home run.
