Just by chance, I happened to watch a lot of Suns games last season. This guy can just score, wherever he has the ball, whoever is guarding him. He does have some poor shot selection going on. But he's 20. If he were dropping 22ppg efficiently at this age, he would be on par with all time great young players.

IMO he will never be even an average defensive player or a significant passer. But I can see him becoming the #1 scorer in the league. He is offensively well ahead of Klay Thompson at the same age. Just watch the kid play, and leave out the 70 point game. He is a really gifted scorer who just has to gain experience to refine his shot selection.

Having said that, I would trade him for Porzingis straight up. I would probably trade him and a #10 pick for Porzingis. I would NOT trade Booker and #4 for Porzingis. If Phil can land that deal, and then get even a #15 pick for Melo then he is rebuilding with: Booker, #4, #8, #15, some decent young big guys, and a ton of cap space. That is a much brighter future than what the Knicks have right now imo. A disgruntled Porzingis and a childish Melo + #8 is not taking them anywhere.

I would love to have Porzingis on this team..he's a Dirk/Yao hybrid..he would excel in D. Antoini's offense! Trade whatever excpt harden to get him!!

I agree with this. Young, rookie scale franchise bigs produce like KAT and Embiid, not like KP. Right now KP has franchise level talent and a lot of potential but he is still raw.

I would give up Dragon instead of Booker. I like Booker's game and you'd want him and KP paired together.

Phil targeting specific players in Phoenix

    http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/b...hriss-suns-porzingis-report-article-1.3265456

Phil Jackson and the Knicks targeted either Devin Booker or Marquese Chriss from the Suns in a potential deal for Kristaps Porzingis, according to a new report Wednesday morning.

According to the report from Yahoo! Sports, Jackson also wanted Phoenix's pick (No. 4 overall) in Thursday night's NBA draft as the Knicks boss continues to see what he could possibly get for the frustrated Porzingis.

The Suns organization is high on both Booker and Chriss and according to the report "neither is going anywhere."

Dragan Bender. Fourth overall pick last year who has not looked so great.

I have to give it to the parents. Dragan Bender a better name has not been made up. Almost.

If we could magically put Porzingis in the draft tomorrow, he'd go #1. Surely, Phil is looking for a LOT more.

    Woj confirms Suns have talked about Porzingis;
Suns are?/were? in 3-way conversations with George & Butler
"Can they flip that 4th pick & get an established star player?"

Obviously the Sixers and Lakers aren't interested.

    Celtics should strongly consider it.

I cannot believe Phil Jackson is this crazy.

MY god! What an idiot! I haven't seen a more idiotic GM. Even Billy King or Stepien wouldn't do that for no reason!

Now is the Suns chance. The Suns have as many assets as the Celtics. Throw them all to NY.
Bender, Chriss, 4th pick, unprotected Miami picks and Bledsoe. Only keep Booker.

There are rumors that Porzingis has some sort of health issue which would be the only reason I could give the Knicks a pass on this fiasco otherwise LOL!!!
