I have a question. Why can Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant win Championships with the same style of play?
They had the better supporting casts for the rings?

Kobe led the Lakers to two consecutive championships in 2009 and 2010, earning the Finals MVP Award on both occasions.
Jordan led the Bulls to three consecutive championships in 1991, 1992 and 1993, earning the Finals MVP Award on three occasions.

IDK why anyone is mad at this. No star player has ever won a title alone without extraordinary circumstances (Dodging the best Team and the Best player in the same postseason). Harden + Paul + Clint can win a title, and I doubt Harden needs to command every possession if/when the team returns to full health.

He's not lying. Can't compare Harden to Kobe or Jordan because neither of them had to play the Warriors.

I don't think reasoning people would think the Rockets CURRENTLY can win a championship with the way the roster is. We need Capela and Gordon back to at least have a shot.

I don't know why his statement is such a shocker. Harden has to be ball dominant right now.

No ****, why do you think we got so good with CP3 last year.

The last time Harden dominated the ball we got bounced by the spurs

He isn't trying to win a championship in February though. That's the cold shower of reality to counter this hot-takery.

Remember that time Kobe had to play with nobodies? How he did? Not so great huh? Like maybe Shaq helped. Maybe. We don't even need prime Shaq, we just want Capela back.

Kobe aint lying... this aint gonna win us anything..

but if we have health... then he wouldnt have to do what he is doing...therefore...spreading the wealth...and that can win you rings.

shi*, last year, it was going to win us a ring.

Anyways....the biggest point from this is that.... I love how James Harden was so professional with his answer. Way to have respect for an all time great and also speaking your piece.

Memory is blurry but I think Gasol was instrumental to Kirby's 4th and 5th championship.

Gasoft upped his game during the playoffs to even MVP level.

if the lakers can win with Kobe clanking 6-24 from the field, we fine.

This is why you have to take media reports with a grain a salt. Kobe really just said what we have all been saying all along.

    1. What Harden is doing is amazing.
    2. It's not conducive to winning a title
    BUT
    3. The Rockets (and Harden) don't have a choice because this is what they currently have to do to win games with all the injuries.

That is exactly what Kobe was saying before Rachel cut him off to make him restate that the Rockets can't win a title this way so that they'd have a flash headline.

Kobe's right. The Rockets, Harden and all non-delusional fans know it. Basically Kobe's comments were taken out of context and this is a non-story.

Don't really care enough to elaborate, but the Rockets do it because the numbers say they can do it -- with Paul AND Harden.

The .97 ppp from the '06-'07 Lakers (Kobe) is pretty average. Harden/Paul are like two standard deviations to the right of that glorified chucker. Right, Daryl?
