Now that the news is out, don't think it really matters from the Texans point of view. I would expect for him to be released shortly. Kinda wondering how they wouldn't have known about this beforehand.

This is why I'm asking. Maybe the final outcome is what kept him on the team rather than having him released this past season.

Who knows, but it doesn't look like he's going anywhere... just won't be going back to the campus of MSU.

 

Sexual misconduct makes it sound like he was fapping at the rec center. This is assault.
I don't think he makes it past this week on the roster.

 

I forget where I saw it the other day, but there was a video with the players asking other players "who would you not want your sister to date?" and Mumphrey was named and he responded that he treats women well jokingly. It may have been on channel 2 sports sunday.

 

Just a normal day in the NFL.

Crazy thing is, after the news we just heard, you can see why he had that reaction. BUT...only because of the news we just heard

 

I am curious if this didn't have something to do with the allegations being re-hashed.

 

I would think unless there's some solid evidence against him he should be fine, his bigger problem will be with making the roster from a talent standpoint.

 

Nothing to do with these so-called allegations but I didn't see him making it anyway. I didn't think he should've made it last year. How many WRs do we normally keep?

I see us having Hopkins, Fuller, BMiller, Strong and McCarron (to play Welkers role)

 

I think we usually keep 6, but yeah, he'd be looking to grab that last spot.

 

Man if this were hopkins maybe the Texans would care. A 5th or 6th WR is getting cut.

 

The first four should be locks.

The last two spots are between: Deanté Gray, Justin Hardee, Shaq Hill, Shaq Hill, Keith Mumphery, Chris Thompson, and Wendall Williams. Special team play will be important in this decision. Mumphery has been noted for his special team play.
