Losers tonight: Kevin Durant, Toronto Raptors, New York Knicks

    Poor Knicks :D

    No Zion
Now possibly no KD (Would they accept 2019-20 season without KD / 2020 post-achilles KD? He'll be 31 by start of 2019 season; 32 by 2020 season)

Knicks are cursed...right when they think they’re about to get a superstar in free agency, he ruptures his Achilles

Knicks are just bad, years and decades of bad decisions, the last time they were halfway good was with Ewing.....can't really remember any good times.

Lol sounds like a deal the Knicks would make. Sign him to the max and probably plays 2 games with them.

They can still get AD and Kemba. I'll have to just live with that

What seemed like what was going to be a strong offseason for the knicks is fading quickly, No Zion. And now KD is hurt, and how bad is it?

KD needed to stay out and heal his ankle... he had too much riding on this, but we will see what the MRI says.

Even the Knicks aren't dumb enough to offer him a max contract now, right?

My guess is he will re-up with Golden State for a year and treat next season like Boogie did this year.

I mean it’s the Knicks so it won’t happen. But they can still sign Kemba and Butler, and keep their draft pick and draft Barrett and that ain’t bad.

Kevin Durant 'Doing A Lot Of Soul Searching' Ahead Of Free Agency

Kevin Durant is believed to be considering the Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets.

These three teams are all believed to be prepared to offer Durant a full max contract despite his Achilles injury.

"I'm told K.D. is doing a lot of soul searching right now," said Adrian Wojnarowski on ESPN's draft preview on Wednesday.

Wojnarowski mentioned the Warriors, Knicks and Nets as the three teams Durant will consider.

Durant signed with the Warriors in 2016.

Warriors, Kevin Durant Weighing Potential Delayed Sign-And-Trade

The Golden State Warriors and Kevin Durant could agree to a deal worth approximately $220 million over five seasons, but he would be traded to another team at a later date.

"One of the things being discussed right now is the Golden State Warriors would offer Kevin Durant a five-year contract (with) $57 million extra that he could get than signing elsewhere," said Brian Windhorst. "Let him rehab and then work with him to be traded. Potentially to New York, potentially to somewhere else. Be their way to sort of take care of him monetarily after what he just went through and also protect the franchise to get some assets.

"If that happens, the Knicks would be in tremendous position to get back into it because they're going to have these young assets and cap space."

    Windhorst further explained the scenario.

"For lack of a better term, it would be a delayed sign-and-trade," said Windhorst. "Because this is the only way Durant could get five years and play elsewhere. I'm just going to be honest with you: the Warriors going for this is a bit of a last ditch effort to not lose Kevin Durant for nothing. And what he would get out of it is an extra $57 million.

"Now you'd have to trust the Warriors that they would actually work with you in a trade, but it has at least been discussed."

Frank Isola of The Athletic reported the Warriors' interest in this scenario earlier in June.

Why would the Knicks give up assets to get him at this point? And why would Durant make his next team waste assets to get him making a rival stronger? Seems like bs to me...although with the Knicks you never know i guess.
