Might want to catch some of this Dule v Syracuse game as Tatum looks better than any of the recent #2 picks in the draft did. Big-time "wow" here. Not a Rockets target but one can dream.

I think Boston would pick the guy they thought was the best, not pass on him because of position. My feel is they'd pick Fultz as imo he and Ball are right now neck and neck but Fultz game seems to have less potential question marks (eg. Ball's shooting, pure explosiveness). Fultz strikes me as a better potential off ball player as well, so that would eliminate some of the issue with playing with IT.

Anyway, regarding Tatum, yes, tons of potential. I wonder why most current mocks have him below Josh Jackson? I guess Jackson has better defensive potential... but for as much as guys like Kwahi, Butler work out, there's plenty of "misses" with that formula (MKG, Winslow, etc.). Though Jackson does seem to be a bit better than those guys offensively at similar points.

Think Jackson is a more complete and higher ball-iq player, right now see him as the best player in the draft honestly. Very mature game for a college player and ton of upside on both ends.

Btw, I feel like Dennis Smith is really underrated, strikes me as a guy with extremely high potential to be a 20+ ppg PG with good playmaking in the NBA, similar to Lillard/Lowry. Lower bust potential than most other top 10 prospects imo, you rarely go wrong with athletic PGs that have a strong shot and solid playmaking nowadays.

Fair enough. Haven't really seen enough of either to do a great comparison.

I like Smith too. It seems to be a pretty strong draft. Think Fultz is the real deal. Not sure if I'm not sold on Ball or just already annoyed by his dad lol.

Top 5 seem solid though. After that might be hit or miss. Could be some solid prospects that fall to the 20s for whatever reason.

Dude should be #1, great player. Ceiling is Melo, Jimmy Butler, or Paul George. Worst case, an Ariza 3&D type player.

Lol… guess i was wrong about Fultz in this thread….

bu I still have no idea why. Not sure anyone does. One of the absolute strangest draft pick stories maybe ever.

He's the next CP3, just you wait.
Edit: just saw that Jackson is also on their roster, can't go wrong with the 2017 Yung dream team.

I just knew Tatum was skilled and was going to be able to score at the next level. Rudy Gay was my floor for him I knew at very worst he would be a guy who could average 18-20PPG on average efficiency.

Gay was a very solid comp, a compliment at the time.
