As of today, there are about 20 or so games left in the season and NBA.com has Giannis with a comfortable lead over Harden for the reward. Giannis is all over the TV and is being swarmed with MVP hype, while the media continues to disregard Harden and his historic offensive stretch.

This will be the third time in five years that Harden gets screwed over for an MVP award.

    Such is life.

Unless we start winning games consistently then the MVP race is between PG and Giannis

Honestly the messed up part is just how the narrative changes every year.

One year it's best player on best team and the next year it's stat dependent.

They begrudgingly had to give it to Harden last year after he been snubbed for like 2 years before that lol...and yes...snubbed...one of those years he didn't even make an All-NBA team.

    Let me say that again.

HARDEN IN 2016 DID NOT MAKE AN ALL-NBA TEAM.

The NBA is so rigged. I’ll be shocked if Harden is a top 3 vote getter for MVP.

I mean we are dropping many games It wouldn't be screwed like the WB season tbh. That was a ****ing travesty. Its ok if Giannis wins tbh. Harden was top 3 seeds IIRC all the other seasons he was screwed this season we will be 5th probably

dude, we're on pace to win 47 games. The Bucks for 61 games. Think about it. Harden would be robbing Giannis. We all know James (or even Kawhi) was robbed in 2017 by Westbrook, but two wrongs don't make a right. Giannis deserves that MVP more than Harden. Don't be such a homer.

Kind of sad that we all know we’re not winning the chip this year, so all we have to hope fore is another MVP award. Who gives a ****.

Harden doesn’t deserve the MVP over Giannis right now, let’s be real...Bucks keep winning, and the Rockets keep on racking up bad L’s

Harden is scoring, Paul George is doing work and Giannis is doing it all. Stop the conspiracy whining, Harden had his moment of glory for about 1-2 months.

Yeah can't have it both ways OP.

Did Westbrook deserve that 2017 MVP or not? If he didn't, then Harden doesn't deserve MVP this season.

Don’t overthink it. Giannis is putting up ridiculous MVP numbers on the team with the best record in the league. That makes him the front runner. Just like with Harden last year.

The year Westbrook won it, Golden State had the best record by a wide margin, but they don’t get an MVP because they had two great players. So, next in line was Kawhi and Harden, against Westbrook. Kawhi’s personal numbers weren’t dominant enough to give him the edge, and Harden’s win total wasn’t dominant enough to give him the edge, in the voter’s estimation. Harden probably had the best overall case, but he wasn’t he clear-cut MVP choice by the usual standards because his team’s record was a distant third behind Golden State.

As for 2016, Curry was the undisputed MVP — rightfully so.

As for 2015, Curry again probably had the best case, because he had MVP-like numbers on by far the best team in the league. One may argue Harden’s individual numbers were more impressive (mainly because he played more minutes), but the difference wasn’t enough to offset the incredible season the Warriors had relative to the rest of the league.

The 2017 vote is sort of an outlier, but there wasn’t a clear-cut MVP choice in that group. Otherwise, the voting went as one might expect.

I know we are losing some games we shouldn’t but since Harden went on the run we have the 3rd best record In the league, look at Vegas he is still the favorite. Chill out

He's not going to get screwed. He is the best player in the league this season, but he simply is not winning at the level he needs to be to win MVP. Giannis is throwing up absurd stats while leading one of the best teams in the league. He will deservedly win it.

If the Rockets wanted Harden to win MVP, they'd take the season seriously and not blow game after game to inferior opponents. They have themselves to blame.

Different scenario, that Thunder team was fully healthy and only got 6th seed.

Harden has dragged a team full of D leaguers to the 5th seed. What he’s done this year has been unreal. We were dead in the water when CP and Gordon went down. Then Harden did this... He dropped 40 on every team above him in the standings and willed us to victory each night. He’s starting to fall off though.

Bucks are 13-6 vs the west and Rockets are 12-8 vs the east.
    You were saying?

So... the Bucks have a 68.4% winning % against the West (according to your record) and 78.9% against the East. Better against the East.

Meanwhile the Rockets have a 60% win % vs. the East and 57% against the West. Better against the East.

His point kind of holds... though it wouldn't be a big impact, it would tighten up their records relative to each other if Bucks were in West and Rockets in East. That's clear.

This is Morey's fault, not Harden's.

Harden already does best he can.
