You're missing that Booker is playable while Okafor and Sauce Castillo are not. Still I like the trade for BKN. Why not take a chance?
A bit surprising that Stauskas couldn't find playing time on Philly. But that's an awful lot to give up for Booker. Okafor alone should be enough. Also surprising that Okafor couldn't play next to Embiid and Simmons. Embiid is so good defensively, that even though Okafor is a sieve, Embiid can handle the defensive responsibilities. Can't Okafor stretch the floor for a Simmons/Embiid PnR? Even if Okafor didn't fit, why would Philly do this particular trade?
Good job by Philly, getting something out of nothing. Okafor and Stauskas are no NBA material. Brooklyn has the third highest Pace in the league. How is that supposed to work with Jahlil?
I like that move for Philly. Booker gives them someone decent playing D..Undersized PF, but like him to Philly and Okafor not coming here.
Now that it's all over with, I'm kind of shocked that the Sixers let Okafor's value slip so low. The dude can play. Play him to show his value. Oh well. Good for the Nets, they probably won this trade.
Billy king was terrible lol. I dont think that the nets pick will be a top 5 pick this year. We will see. Wonder if the cavs trade it and decide to put all their eggs in the help lebron now + try to convince him to stay basket
Booker is good screener and passer and is actually playable. Nets find out if Jahlil is salvagable as an NBA player and get a 2nd. Pretty even trade I'd say.
Imo it’s a win win. Brooklyn gets a scratch off ticket, maybe a small return, probably nothing but Ann extremely slim chance to hit Big. For philly they traded, crap and crap that comes with a high draft selection bust label for an actual rotation player and contributor for an added playoff push. Expiring experiments for both.
I bet Nik Stauskas lasts longer in the NBA than Jahlil, at least he can run around and shoot 3s at a decent rate (39% last year)
