Because you doesn't look like it will go in? Gary's shot reminds me of Dekker's shot when he was making it in preseason and early in the regular season. Dekker's 3-point makes looked too good to be true and they were. I hope Gary is actually a good shooter.
I think Clark's shot looks fine, but I also thought Dekker's shot looked fine. So, what do I know. I do think Hartenstein's form is off though. I've only seen a few of his shots but he positions his left hand weirdly on the ball
I think they did something to his brain to make him forget how to miss. Must be some new Morey nerd gadget.
http://www.nba.com/draft/2018/prospects/gary_clark#/ This profile, although limited, kind of speaks to why we see him so comfortable in this current role but also why he was overlooked. He essentially does everything in moderation and plays within the flow of the team. He shot at a high rate but in low volume in college, and played excellent individual defense but not overpowering and stayed within the team game plan. Has good athleticism but also disciplined enough because of his time in college basketball - basically nothing flashy. I love how they mentioned he did a lot of dirty work over his college tenure. Overall a prototypical role player, 3 & D!
The amount of excitement I have for this guy shows how absurd a Houston Rocket fan a I am. (We are) Absolutely love his game, and I hope he continues to stroke those threes, because he has the attitude and the defense to contribute ala Cassell/Horry...

Gary can defend better than Dekker. His high IQ and decent athleticism/ defense will help him to stay on the court. This may make it easier for him to shoot. PJ is the best role model for him to follow.
Clark preseason... 16 minutes per game 13-24 (54.2%) overall shooting 10-18 (55.6%) from three 7.6 PPG 3.0 RPG 1.2 BPG Again, all this in just 16 minutes per game from a rookie. Not to mention, he is good on defensive switching. This is why Dantoni has been raving about this kid. A couple of weeks ago in the 'Make A Bold Prediction' thread, my bold prediction was that Gary Clark would work his way into the rotation sooner rather than later. This isn't a normal rookie. Check his college resume, awards, and all time defensive efficiency ranks. He's different. Keep an eye on him.
