Is there a way to search the entirety of posts I have made?

I did a search for the string "iframe" posted by you in the Hangout Forum.

Although you didn't post any text ... the action of you embedding video did.

Also turns out the keyword "streetcar" and "Search Titles Only" posted by @da1 would have worked, too. That was my next search, based upon a guess that da1 started a thread about streetcars in houston, where you dropped the vid

 

search "iframe" for old vids...anything embedded will insert that string.

For new vids since the BBS upgrade, "youtube" will work.

 

It works.

"iframe" as keyword plus posted by @donkeypunch plus narrow it to The Hangout. I saw it on the first page of hits.

 

On a related note, there used to be a way to see who and how many times members posted in a thread. I can't seem to figure out how to do that anymore.

That's a feature I used from time to time when it seemed like a member was posting in a thread like a mad person, and I wondered just how much he/she had posted in the thread. Not a huge deal, but I liked the option.

 

Yeah, we lost that. I liked it, too, but it was just a tease of what it could have been. I used it to check to see if some of my fav posters who rarely post (like Will or Bima or Clutch or R2K or DoD) posted in the thread. Then I'd look for their posts. But that is doable now by just "Following" them and Search Within Thread.

btw: I can't do without Search Within Thread, now. How did we live without that. That's the feature I was hoping the feature you mentioned did.

What would have made View Posters Who Posted in Thread really great is if the # of posts that was beside their name linked you to their posts in the thread. Again, that is doable now with the Follow feature, Search within Thread, viewing their Profile.

Using it just for Analytics and to see who is posting way too much in the thread (like @Deckard mentioins) is cool, but I can do without.

 

otoh it was super helpful for handing out participation trophies

All Lin fans. I say tinman, zboy and comets were successful. colt, hayes, snoopy, sew are banned/no longer post. That's an achievement in itself.

mig0s is just a sad burger flipping, toilet cleaning individual with a souped up Toyota that shows up once in a while to get beaten
