Having been a black college student without a car, any local friends or non-Stafford cash the logistics of leaving campus would have been a pain, and the subtext would have been a bit gut-wrenching. It also creates a scenario where campus cops (and white students) are justified in suspecting a black kid in the library, student union or cafeteria that day is trespassing.

Most universities, I know you don't know this because you went to common sense university, have a code of conduct. Hate speeches would get a student of that university kicked out.
