Anybody that says they aren't worried are lying, or lying to themselves. Having said that, we've seen bizarre hiccups from players that turned out to mean nothing long term. He could be right back to wiping people out by years end, or next season. But, sometimes they do mean something.
I’m not really worried about anything with him other than getting hurt. Stuff still there, he’s going through a major mechanical tweak. He will be fine. Talent generally wins out.
How is it an 'antic'? Perhaps he was confident that he would be ready by last week. Perhaps if they absolutely needed him next week, he'd be ready to go. Probably playing it really safe and since they needed to reactivate Smith from the 60 day IL, they decided to hold him out longer.
I’m almost positive I said figure on Correa being back in August 1. I saw him hitting in Florida and thought- oh- maybe I blew it and was unduly pessimistic. Nope... I had really pessimistic projections for everyone, and ended up being right, with the exception of Springer. He was legit back way quicker than I thought he’d be. Diaz, man, what the heck on that? He is going to miss half the season with a hamstring pull. He’s at fault for Tyler white being such a thing. Oh well, couple more weeks and we should be full strength headed into the playoffs.
Plus, he was only talking about using the ASG as part of his rehab stint..... they waited an extra week to start the rehab stint (which will be 2 weeks due to the IL move). Regardless of the circumstance, its always going to be Correa's fault around here... and double the fine for stupidity.
That’s the earliest he can start a rehab stint? I am not 100% clear on rules surrounding the 60 day IL
No, that's the earliest he can be back on the active everyday team. He's starting his rehab stint tomorrow.
Peacock setback, Framber on Mon, no starter for Tue. Bad situation since all the young arms are unavailable. Monday should be McHugh as an opener for 2 innings then Framber for hopefully 4 innings. Tuesday might have to be Kent Emanuel, Brandon Bielak, Brandon Bailey, or Enoli Paredes.
Put me in skip, I can throw the ball over the plate. And at 52 mph they won’t be able to gear their swing speed down to hit it. Yesh, that’s rough. JV is a vet and knows the score. Complete game incoming Also, screw it- just call up Whitley and give him 3 turns through the rotation.
Astros are extremely unlikely to make a 40 man roster move because of this. It will be someone on the 40 already.
Just let McHugh start and let him go as long as he can. It’s not like he’s never been a starter before.
