I'm getting calls entirely in Chinese from phone numbers that are actually registered to businesses (maybe ones that are out of business?) Its crazy how bad its gotten.
Yeah, I don't know wth happened, but always followed the "don't answer" if I don't know the contact, and still happened, hahah, maybe that Do Not Call list screwed me,
I’m getting the Chinese messages and health care plan calls/messages from my phone’s original area code. I get the heath care calls daily now but have never interacted with any human. I’ve seen some peoples caller ID automatically identify these as “likely scam” or spam, but I I don’t have that feature
Yup very annoying especially since I use my personal phone for my business as well. They call from local numbers as well so I just assume it’s a business call.
No joke: I blame the Do Not Call list for a huge increase in spam calls that very suddenly started for me ~3 years ago. Huge mistake on my part.
Same, huge uptick in spam calls for me. I never pick up, let all calls go to my answering machine. Still anoying tho.
Just imagine if you really did work for the IRS and you have to call people. That has to be challenging.
Friday I got one of the Chinese calls to my work phone then a few minutes later to my personal phone (didnt answer either they both went to VM) Both numbers that called started with 713-520

I say we impose even tougher sentences.. You are purposefully defrauding the most vulnerable victims..10-20 years is not enough.
